When I was imagining what I would consider a passable Hornet, I pictured making her a melixie (insectile sprite) swashbuckler, so that she could jump around in her square with evanescent wings and fight with a rapier. Thematically I get that the spider-y anadi are a good choice, but I liked the image of Hornet being a tiny bug-fey who fights with a needle more. I never particularly came up with many tricks for her silk weapons, but rope dart sounds like a good start.

I certainly see the Appeal, perhaps if I was playing the little HollowKnight himself Id go for that without question, but with Hornet being Taller and more athletically built Anadi felt solid, and I must agree Rope Dart wielding Swashbuckler (Gymnast) with the Acrobat Archetype , feels like a match made in Hollownest lol

Being able to get that feeling of dodging enemy attacks, tripping them up, and exploiting openings

You could even flavor Hornets Thread Burst as one of the Finishers (much like other abilities in HollowKnight that you had to build up gauge to use.

Skill wise ... Athletics & Acrobatics (for your maneuvers and freedom of movement)
, medicine (and battle med) to reflect hornets mending her wounds mid fight like the demo , and either crafting for utility and team play, or stealth for sneaking and ambushing as spiders do

Dex being top stat followed by Str, Com, and a little love for Wis and Int , with Charisma falling to the wayside befitting her terrible social skills xD

The character would primarily specialize in melee attacks while taking advantage of their Throwable weapons and tools, and Hit and Run tactics
given Hollow Knights gameplay, and Hornets Speed and Agility

Possible classes I believe could work are
Based on my studies

Fighter: due to its customizable nature, being able to lunge forward to cross gaps and strike or just as easily strike from a distance with Throwable weapons

Swashbuckler and Rogue: for their Agile, light on their feet, and tactical fighting style and skill set, aswell as penchant for leaving one hand open for utility like trowing out a knife or gadget

Inventor: sounds like a interesting idea especially with a weapon focus and For all I know Its Ability to Craft special items with spell like effects might capture the various tools and abilities the character would acquire in the game

Magus: either shooting star or laughing shadow could similarly work.
Shooting Star allowing spell strikes Near and Far, or laughing shadow for its hit and run tactics and boosting the damage of one handed weapons to minimize the loss of damage from not using two handed weapons

Potential archetypes ive seen that might further fill out the build are Acrobat and Inventor archetypes


I'm wanting to Recreate Hornet from the HollowKnight 1&2 games in pathfinder2e's wonderfully adaptive system, but my lack of experience with pathfinder2e's many classes and archetypes leave me at a loss on the ideal choice
Ancestry likely Anadi due to their Spider Mother's Heritage, and silk generation
And
Likely a Martial who wields a Combat Grapnel or Harpoon to replicate her Threaded Needle weapon that she can throw and recall as needed (though open to better options if there's a better fitting weapon)
Skill wise likely specializing in Athletics, Acrobatics, and or Crafting
Not sure how to replicate or what could be reflavored as her Silk attacks and Tools she seen using.
Any help, Suggestions, or ideas would be deeply appreciated ^^
