History
Basil was born in Kintago and has lived there most of his life. And for the most part, it was fairly OK. He was part of a small group of ex-patriots from Kelish, as could be seen by his complexion, but over the generations, he, and others like him spoke like and lived like the locals. He found a vocation with the small faith of Saranrae, and with the dawn star, he saw his way forward.
He focused on healing in the church and became known as a friendly if somewhat stern healer. But the injuries people were coming to have treated were more and more related to beatings, and worse. As a rule, Followers of Saranrae avoided politics, but this was too much. Eventually, Basil decided he had to act. Then he was contacted.
