Stuffed with questionable food he has just eaten from the contest, he heads over to the bonfire and arranges the wood for efficient burning later.

Basag instead carries the logs to add to the bonfire, but shows off first in front of the goblins by raising them with one arm above his head.

It is first time for Basag to get this too close for somebody that looks like a big floating brain, with his face inches close to Third's 'face'. Nevertheless, Basag focuses on the battle and switches from pan and fork to sling since the others are on their way to go melee with the orts.

"Fire is good for cooking, but not on important things!" Basag is unease seeing the flames burning the tavern. Though he wonders why it is black.

"Black flames? I only know their usual colors in red, orange, or yellow, and sometimes blue when it is very hot. But black? Hmmm." he quickly draws stick and shield, while trying to recall something about the black flame.

"That is possible." Basag also agrees.

Happy New Year, everyone! I’m back and will slowly catch up and post updates in all the games I’m in and GM.

I’m back from traveling, but the next few days will be busy again. And Happy New Year to everyone, too!

I’ll be out of town from December 22 to December 29, so my posting will be intermittent during that time. Please feel free to bot my character if needed. I may also be quite busy from December 30 to January 1, though I expect many of us will be as well.

"I'll guide the other civilians. Right behind me!" Basag brandishes his shield up high for the citizens to see that he is ready to protect them.

Basag charges forward, snatching buckets of water from nearby barrels and dousing the roaring flames engulfing the building.

"Get behind my allies and they'll lead you to safety!" Basag calls out, motioning to his allies in guiding the civilians toward their next destination while he goes to the front with shield raised and his trusty stick at the ready.

Once they arrive and he spots more townsfolk in need of evacuation, Basag quickly stows his weapon and shield. Seeing how injured and disheartened they are, he steps forward without hesitation.

"Let me help you." Basag borrows a healer’s toolkit and begins tending to the wounded townspeople.

"Hi, Fi!" Basag greets the barkeep with a spirited high five, his enthusiasm spilling over as he trades more high fives with the townsfolk celebrating their hard-won, if temporary, victory.

"Aside from what they said, I’m also here for a drink!" he declares, gladly accepting a mug of ale from the barkeep.
