I changed to Search for Exploration activity.

After being healed by teammates, Basag goes to Tonfer and asks if he can use his workshop to fix his steel shield.

"I hope you don't mind letting me use your shop to let me fix my shield."

Instead of pan and fork, Basag goes for his loaded sling staff this time. He doesn't want to get clawed at this point. If needed, he will swap back to his usual pan and fork when they become close to him, or back to stick and shield, if needed.

I am buying minor reinforcing rune for his steel shield, 75 gp. His Steel Shield now has Hardness 8 HP(BT) 64(32).

Does Basag have the chance to repair his steel shield before the next task?

The PCs are able to get an uninterrupted 8-hour rest at the lodge after having completed their second task involving combat.

Basag Bungo swaps his pan and fork with shield and stick, raising the shield as the group explores. "You'll never know when these monsters or bandits will attack us, better be prepared." he suggests as he also shares information about his assessment of the area for the map.

"One should train the body in strength and endurance." Basag begins doing push-ups and squats. "But you have to be consistent and apply some progression to improve." he continues, flexing his muscles.

"Food can heal not just the body, but also the soul!" Basaag begins picking up edible mushrooms nearby, sautés them, and adds some spices for flavor. He then offers the same to the student.

"The food itself can't heal, but the properties of its ingredients can provide healing." He continues, explaining the health benefits of food prepared with the right ingredients for the sick.

"Yes, that's true! Kinda awkward 'coz I don't do acting, but yeah, we subdued those feys trying the wreck the students' play!" Basag is fairly impressed for knowing that.

"How did you know that?" he asks.

Basag nods at their inquiries, trying to absorb the details as much as he can. No more questions from Basag.

"Hmmm... Legendary exploits. I wonder what could those be..." Basag ponders. "I hope they are not killing huge dragons and all, not ready for that, though." he adds.

A halfling, small but stout, wearing an armor of interwoven metal cables arrives at their meeting place. One can see that he has some tools at his disposal: a frying pan, a huge two-pronged fork, a long piece of wooden pole, and a Y-shaped staff. Stowed behind him is a steel shield.

"I’ve never ventured this far, but I’m always ready for more. Basag Bungo, at your service!"

He readies to shoot Purple in case she shows herself again.
