Brandu grew up in old Korvosa. He wasn't poor by any stretch of the means... he aspired to be poor. His early life was spent on the street beggin for a meal and getting beat up and bullied for his trouble.

Then came Gaedren. Ohh B randu thought he was saved, but it was just the begining of his pain. The promise of safety from the streets and food was more than Brand could believe. But then when it is too good to be true it usually is to good to be true.

Brandu spent the next several years being the personal play thing of Gaedren. It didn't matter what it was torture, sexual abuse, or just plain hatred:; Gaedren gave it to Brandu.

One day during one of the many sessions of abuse that Brandu had started to learn to endure, Gaedren went a little too far and cut an artery and Brandu started to bleed out. But like any tool that had lost its use, Brandu was thrown away and left to die.

But Brandu found salvation in his death. Well not death but near death. he was saved by a cleric of Erastil from the gutter that he was left in to die.

Brandu was taken in by the church and healed, fed, and eventually trained. In appreciation of what the cleric did for him, Brandu studied the bow intensely and became a master monk of the bow. Brandu now looks for an opportunity to set right what was wronged in him and rid himself of his own nightmares.
