I’ve found the character creation process to be a quick and painless one, although I shamelessly cheat and use Hero Builder. That said, just have them prepare their PC ahead of time.

While not related to the book review, the Andoran uniforms are distinct enough that Pathfinder specific miniatures with that style of dress would likely be quite popular...at least with me.
