Yeah, I'd say that sounds homebrewed to me. If the PrC has sonic and lightning elements to it, what's there for air to fulfill?

Air is for wind and allows a full master to fly.

Are you sure it's four classes from one Dragon, and not six different classes from six different issues? I ask because #278 featured "The Stonelord", and #283 featured "The Flame Steward". I haven't found the classes for the other elements.

I still recommend you ask your DM to photocopy the relevant issues for campaign use, or at least to give you an issue number to track down. (Oh, and if you do find it, would you mind posting the answer here, because I'd quite like to know myself, now.)

Did some research... nope, Eldritch Master isn't it. Eldritch Master is a full arcane PrC that gives the character some spells as supernatural abilities and a fear aura and gaze, among other things.

Hmmm...maybe he was wrong and it was in Dungeon then? I also tried asking this question on the WotC DnD boards and no one there knew either...

In recent game of DnD that I'm playing in, the DM introduced to a prestige class called "Elemental Masters." Apparently there are 6 different types (Fire, Ice, Sonic, Lightning, Acid, and Air) and he got them from an issue of Dragon magazine. Now I'm a fairly new subscriber to Dragon, and this class was featured in the magazine before I subscribed. He told me the class was feature somewhere in the 200's issue-wise, he thinks 270's, but couldn't remember the exact issue.
He says that he won't bring the issue back to school with him because it's worth a bunch of money since it's not printed anymore.
Anyway, I was wondering if someone here knew what I was talking about and if there's someway I could lookup all the class features for these Elemental Masters or atleast know exactly what issue they were in.

I've always LOVED to play Half-Orcs, in addition to that, I'm also a big fan of playing Kuo-Toa, Lizardfolk, Githyanki (the ones that favor the Monk class, I always get them confused >.<), Dwarves and good old Humans.

A common occurrence in the group I play with, it the tendency for the players to gravitate to the more exotic flavor classes and prestige classes, while shamefully neglecting the regular ones. Although I frequently GM the group, and the absence of a cleric in the group (a fairly common occurrence) doesn't bother me, when I play as a player, I always end up playing a Wizard, or a Cleric, because no one in the group wishes to play either. Everyone wants to play Rogue/Scout or Dragon-like characters. Anyone else notice this type of trend?

I've actually never had this problem while DMing or playing. I've currently DMed 2 campaigns and have always had 2 Clerics or a Cleric and Paladin or Druid. I may have just gotten lucky with my groups but I've had fair party balence (though my current group seems to be gravitating more towards magic-based classes).

I have noticed that there is a lot of elf hate out there in the gamer community. I am curious as to why.

The main reason for me not likeing Elves is because I've seen them played so damn much. I mean, my first DnD campign I played in, the party looked like this:

The first campaign I DMed:
Human, Halfling, Half-Elf, Elf, Elf, Half-Elf

The current campaign I'm playing:
Half-Orc, Elf, Elf, Elf, Half-Elf, Half-Elf, Human, Dwarf, Lizard-Man, Halfling

Add on to that I play World of Warcraft and 50% of my server are Night Elves...
Let's just leave it at I see Elves played way to much.
