Blue watches the little green man in the holocron speak to Ansil. He wonders what communications malfunction causes it to speak so oddly. At Ansil’s mention of a friend, Blue replies, ”Frienship requires emotion. I am incapable of such... feelings.” Blue hesitates, wondering if that is true. Then he follows Ansil.
”I do not understand humanoid art. Is this valuable?” Blue looks around to see if anything else is noteworthy about the room.
”I am not his droid.” Blue replies automatically, having self-programmed the response into his subroutines. Following Ansil, he looks around the room, his head tilting left and right. ”This does not compute. Why are we here?”
Blue notes the code with ease.
Blue-6 finds no logic in the Jedi’s destination. As he follows the cook, he looks from the eatery to Ansil. ”Why are we here. Do you need to refuel?”
”I am designated BL-U6 and I recognize no one as master.”
”I have no master.” Blue replies, seeming almost confused by his own statement.

Blue likes the conversation less and less. Escorting sounds a lot like an involuntary order. Extracting information with a tech team seems invasive. ”My compliance will not come through force. I will accompany you and answer questions of my own free will.”
Blue 6 raises his blaster. ”Is that a threat?”
Blue 6 turns his blaster and shoots off the Ugnaught’s restraining bolt.
Blue 6 jerks from the charge sent through the restraining bolt, but resists the device. He turns his droid eyes slowly to the ugnaught. ”I would not attempt that again if I were you.”
Blue-6 spots a human making a run from cover. Angling around the vehicle he’s using for cover, he takes a shot.
”Time is on our side. It would be illogical to expose ourselves to enemy fire.” Blue-6 assesses his damage and considers repairs.
Blue 6 fires down the street at the colicoid.
BL-U6 holds position.
”What is your designation?” BL-U6 asks the man beside him as he fires his blaster over his shoulder at the duros.
BL-U6 rises to his metal knees and grabs for his blaster.
”ZZZzzz...”
Melee disarm (7) + 18 Agility + 5 Droid Combat Frame = 30 Total.
BLU-U6 pivots around the landspeeder to take cover from the duros, then snatches at the ugnaught’s blaster. Logically, that seems much more efficient than combat field repairs.
I raised agility because I thought it was a weapons skill. What is agility for?
Does the will of the force card system have any good results? Jeez..
BL-U6’s blaster malfunctions.
"If you have no master, then I will accept that position." BL-U6's leg holster snaps open and his hand snatches up his blaster. Aiming at the Ugnaught, he shoots to kill.
BL-U6 stumbles from the blast. His circuits flash and his programming shifts into “disassemble” mode.
”I have no master.” BL-U6 replies calmly. ”Where is yours?”
BL-U6 turns to face the duros and ugnaught. Since they have not drawn blasters he keeps his own secreted away for the moment. He tries to calculate the chances they were sent to capture him. He does not give them good odds of doing so alive.
*K-tap k-tap k-tap k-tap* His metal feet keep a steady tempo as BL-U6 walks the lower streets. Head swiveling left and right, his eyes sweep across and zoom in, rapidly processing a host of information.
Blue 6 studies the yelling man, his circuits taking a second to register that he is the subject of the man’s ire. His finger gives an involuntary twitch. He doesn’t remember the man, or a work station, but his programming returns an “error” message when he considers returning through the door. His head swivels about, rapidly processing other routes before selecting one and stepping into a swift run that takes him rapidly away from the mystery behind him.
The droid looks at its metal hands, trying to recall its programming. It’s purpose. Where was its master? Past its hands a puddle reflects its features. It automatically scans its database and recovers the appropriate data. Model type HK-67. A prototype created on Mustafar. Decommissioned for production flaws. Replaced by HK-77 models. ”Curious.” The droid says, the word sounding like an electronic radio signal bouncing around an echo chamber.
BL-U6, designated “Blue 6” by added markings, stands outside the droid maintenance bay, wondering how he got there, and what he was supposed to be doing. Everything before the doors behind him is a blank. His history deleted. His purpose unknown... |
