Whatever his father named him, no one now remembers. What is important is that he does have a name. Aztryx. Aztryx comes from Astryx. Which in turn came from "He who has tricks", which is what his mother Yavanna always said of him.
Yavanna wanted to raise Aztryx free of his father's influence. So she brought him to the far city of Nex. Magic came easily to him. Having barely read books on magical theory, he was quick to work spells. So he decided to become a wizard. Despite his natural talent, he is studious and quite serious in his pursuits.
He is very logical and tho not a military man, spends a lot of his time studying strategy and stratagems.
Aztryx loves to question everything. Sometimes to be point of being impolite. But, this type of critical thinking has saved him many times.
