Ok, as an employee of FedEx Kinkos let me clear up a few things.
Yes, you can print the Alpha rules at Kinkos. They uphold copyright laws so if a product is copyrighted you will have to get permition from the publisher first. However, the Alpha rules and character sheets are ok to print under the law. Just tell them you purchased the book online. You may be asked to sign a copyright release form. I'm sorry you had a bad experience.

I don't even own a home printer. I do all my printing at Kinkos. I have done some really cool maps there. The print online is a great tool too.

Now a question for the Paizo staff. Why don't you offer FedEx Shipping for orders? I find UPS to be a bit unreliable here. (But maybe I'm just a little bias)

So I clicked on that link. That awful link. Forgotten Realms is one of my favorite settings to play in and yes Drizzt is their big cash cow--but there is so much more to Forgotten Realms than a "good" drow, which is relatively rare and hokey as crazy.

With all the changes going on. Mages are going crazy. Mystra is dead. Everything's going haywire. What does some elf with two swords have to do with any of that?

Even something from Year of Rogue Dragons, the last book series, which was really great, would be better than this. I mean at least that guy, Richard Lee Byers, cares enough about Forgotten Realms to work with what's there. He does his research. He doesn't just create stuff he thinks is cool ex nihilo and blob it onto the map like "that other guy".

I don't like Salvatore. He's their best selling author, but he doesn't seem to have any real respect for Faerun.

Okay here's my question. I've never really been interested in any of the previous Item Card sets because they've always seemed too generic. Now according to James Jacobs' spoiler these cards are mostly specific things taken right out of Rise of the Runelords. Is that how it's always been with these cards? Like the potion with the icky worm in it, is that really something? Or is it just a generic potion with an icky worm in it? I would be a lot more interested in these cards if there was some kind of list like this that said what each of the items was actually supposed to be. I like the art, but it seems like extra work for me to try and find an item that matches the picture on the card instead of just picking a treasure that makes sense out of the DMG.

I thought the song was adorable. It was so cute. I loved that the Paizo-guy was the tree on the front.

The Pathfinder goblins are just the perfect badguys. They're adorable and silly but also frightening and creepy in their own way. They've got a lot of dimension compared to the regular 1st level D&D ones. Makes you wish you could just play them as a character.

Anyway thanks! This made my Christmas!

I play Zoy in the Pathfinder game. This session was definitely the most horrific I have ever been in. Kudos to Grim for making me have nightmares!! I am definitely looking forward to next week.
