Special Abilities:


Collector (trait): You have a small, bizarre collection of apparently worthless items, such as rusty nails, animal droppings, clockwork cogs, or bent spoons. You find this strange menagerie useful in ways no non-gnome could understand. Seeking new items to add to this collection is endlessly fascinating to you, and while no one else may understand why a Chelish horsenail is worthy to add to your collection when a dwarven wheelbarrow nail is not, it all makes sense to you. Select one of the following skills: Craft (any one), Disable Device, Escape Artist, Perform (any one), or Spellcraft. Whenever you have your collection within 5 feet of you, you gain a +2 trait bonus on all checks made with the selected skill. Once this skill has been selected, it cannot be changed, nor can you gain it for any other collection you begin amassing. (disable device)

Esoteric Scholar (rogue talent): Once a day, a rogue with this talent may attempt a Knowledge check, even when she is not trained in that Knowledge skill.

Proper Training (trait): Your time training at the Grand Lodge of Absalom has served you well. Choose either Knowledge (geography) or Knowledge (history). You gain a +1 trait bonus on all checks with the chosen skill, and the chosen skill is a class skill for you. (history)

Trapfinding: A rogue adds 1/2 her level to Perception skill checks made to locate traps and to Disable Device skill checks (minimum +1). A rogue can use Disable Device to disarm magic traps.

Trap Sense (Ex): At 3rd level, a rogue gains an intuitive sense that alerts her to danger from traps, giving her a +1 bonus on Reflex saves made to avoid traps and a +1 dodge bonus to AC against attacks made by traps. These bonuses rise to +2 when the rogue reaches 6th level, to +3 when she reaches 9th level, to +4 when she reaches 12th level, to +5 at 15th, and to +6 at 18th level.

Confirmed Field Agent: Having successfully completed and documented your Confirmation, one of the Three Masters has formally recognized you as a field agent and given you a wayfinder engraved with your name and the date of your graduation. If this is the first time you have received this boon for any of your characters, you receive this wayfinder for free; otherwise, you may acquire it by spending 1 Prestige Point. Furthermore, if you assign this Chronicle sheet to a character whose starting XP is 0, you reduce the Prestige Point cost of any wayfinder enhancement vanities you purchase to modify this wayfinder by 1 (minimum 1).

Explore, Report, Cooperate: (I HAVE TWO): You have an excellent sense of what makes an exemplary Pathfinder. As a free or immediate action, you may consider whether a particular action you name—such as subduing but not killing an enemy, befriending an NPC, or recovering a particular item—would help realize the goals of the Pathfinder Society. The GM then informs you whether the action’s impact would be positive (contributes to meeting a secondary success condition for the scenario), negative (opposes the secondary success condition), or negligible (neither contributes to nor opposes the secondary success condition). If none of these three options accurately reflects the action’s impact on the PC’s fulfillment of the secondary success conditions, the GM may respond with a phrase of five words or less. Once you use this boon, cross it of your Chronicle sheet.

Friend of Janira Gavix: The field agent who oversaw your Confirmation is appreciative of your bravery and camaraderie in the face of danger. She helps you perform research, granting you a +1 bonus on Knowledge checks attempted while you are in the Grand Lodge.

Frozen Fingers of Midnight: The Yagevna family in Irrisen recognizes you as a close associate for freeing their daughter, Natalya, from her icy prison. When in Irrisen, you gain a +2 circumstance bonus on all diplomacy rolls when you mention the Yagevna family and how you assisted them.

Frozen Fortitude: Even the coldest wilderness could not fell you. Now you are prepared to endure freezing attacks, or even draw strength from the snow. As a swift action, you can check the box that precedes this boon to gain cold resistance equal to 5 + your character level for 1 minute. Alternatively, you can activate this boon as an immediate action, but doing so grants you only cold resistance equal to your character level. Alternatively, if you have cold resistance as a result of a racial trait or class feature, you can check this box as a swift action to regain a number of hit points equal to your cold resistance. If you are immune to cold, you gain 30 hit points.

Mendevian Commendation: You have received a medal for your service to Mendev and the Fifth Crusade. For every Mendevian Commendation you have, you gain a cumulative +1 bonus on Charisma based skill and ability checks made to influence crusaders of Mendev (maximum +3).

Prepared Agent: You are more prepared for missions than most Pathfinders. When you attempt a knowledge check as part of an adventure’s mission briefing, treat all knowledge skills as trained. Once per adventure, you can add a bonus equal to half the number of goals you have completed (+1) to one knowledge check or Diplomacy check to gather information.

Prized Find You were instrumental in uncovering a cache of lost records that the Pathfinder Society can use to explore hitherto unknown sites. If you would fail to earn a Prestige Point at the end of an adventure due to failing a success condition, you may cross this boon off your chronicle sheet to remind your superiors of your past breakthroughs and earn the 1 prestige point as if you had successfully fulfilled the condition. You may only use this boon if you would also gain at least 1 XP for completing the adventure.

Triumph Over Scales: You have braved the Realm of the Mammoth Lords, not only defeating a tribe of kobolds, but also slaying their white dragon overlords. You can spend 2 Prestige Points to learn Draconic as a bonus language. In addition, you can check a box that precedes this boon when you threaten a critical hit against a dragon or a humanoid with the reptilian subtype to gain a +10 insight bonus on the attack roll to confirm the critical hit. Alternatively, you can check the box when a dragon or humanoid with the reptilian subtype would confirm a critical hit against you in order to gain the benefits of the heavy fortification armour special ability against that attack.

Ayla is an obsessive little gnome who grew up in Absalom desperately dreaming to discover new things and become a Pathfinder. She spent her free time collecting valuable treasures (worthless bits of junk) and constructing and breaking traps (made of said junk). When she got older she explored the wonders of Absalom (mostly sewers and abandoned buildings) and even travelled to far away locales to make miraculous discoveries (she went outside town and poked around a few nearby ruins). Eventually she joined the Pathfinders and worked for a lifetime (nearly four years!) to graduate. Now, FINALLY a graduate, Ayla’s ready to make some bold discoveries. In her free time Ayla writes outlandish adventure novels starring her heroine, Ada Mantine.

Appearance and Personality:

Ayla is a chipper little thing, happy and enthusiastic under any circumstances. She’s bright and brave, but her obsession with new things and discoveries can make her reckless. Or, if the discoveries happen to be in someone's vault, they make her wealthy (and occassionally arrested...).
