I think that school mechanic from remaster is perfect combination of crunch and lore... but amount of schools is too small. There are need to be school for EACH magic academy in Golarion, for each flavor. In each new product must be published new thematic school.
I could see some interpretations of Molthune, that could be similar.
Maybe, attributes could be tied to four magic traditions. Like, Mind (Intelligence), Soul (Wisdom + Charisma), Matter (Strength + Constitution) and Life (Dexterity???).
I think that war between Cheliax and Andoran should become a status quo for this region... maybe for whole edition. There are no any big war in Golarion right now (Nirmathas and Molthune don't count, they are always at war), so that niche for war stories is open. Only problem for this decision is that other countries could took their part in conflict, and this is making story too crowded.
