Maybe, attributes could be tied to four magic traditions. Like, Mind (Intelligence), Soul (Wisdom + Charisma), Matter (Strength + Constitution) and Life (Dexterity???).
I think that war between Cheliax and Andoran should become a status quo for this region... maybe for whole edition. There are no any big war in Golarion right now (Nirmathas and Molthune don't count, they are always at war), so that niche for war stories is open. Only problem for this decision is that other countries could took their part in conflict, and this is making story too crowded.
