ok, thanks everyone for the info, I really appreciate it. That helps tremendously on what I was asking about.

Good gaming!
Chris

Recently, when reading through several modules Ive found reference to an in-game organization called "the Pathfinders" but havent really read anything about them other than they are a mysterious organization. Have I missed something? Could someone please define this Pathfinder organization? It sounds really cool and I would like to know more about them. Its not the same thing as the Pathfinder Society or the Pathfinder Chronicler prestige class, is it?

Thanks in advance,
Chris

I have to agree with Jman72...are you absolutely sure you won't accept other players than the 4 original characters??? Of course, I would be lobbying for a sixth spot.... :)

OOC: WAHOO! Game on! 8P

BTW, I am attempting to catalogue this adventure as we progress. If anyone would be interested in a copy of it when we are done, I would be more than happy to provide it :)

PS: I changed my avatar so as people would not get any ooc post from myself and posts from Nate "Silvertongue" Adams confused :)

I HIGHLY recommend the switch from 3.5 to Pathfinder! I considered the move as well and finally made the switch last Christmas (2009) and have never looked back. When WotC released the *shudder* "4th Edition" version of Dungeons and Dragons, I considered it the end of an era. Im not quite sure what 4th edition is but it definitely isnt D&D :(

It was because of this "brilliant" move by WotC that pushed me to the Pathfinder switch. Once I delved into the world of Golarion...well it was like coming home again. The system and game that I had loved and grown up with was back! Now, granted, it is going to take some time getting used to the new campaign settings but I really LOVE the rules and game play with the OGL mechanics. The best thing about the new PFRPG is that they have taken the 3.5 rules, cleaned them up and streamlined them making it soooooo much better.

I have heard a few people complain that the PFRPG core rulebook was too costly ($49.99). However, when you stop to consider that the Corebook contains basically the PHB and the DMG in one handy volume, well its worth the price especially for convenience sake.

I had intended on purchasing the PFRPG Chronicles, for the official campaign setting but found out last night that they are re-releasing the Chronicles with more pages, updated material and desgined specifically for the PFRPG and not a 3rd party 3.5 ruleset like the original Chronicles was. AND it is still the same price :)

I saw an advertisement in a magazine for Pathfinder RPG that says it the best. It was a picture of the Core Rulebook cover. At the top of the page under the Pathfinder logo it read "3.5 Lives!" However, "lives" had been crossed through with a red slash and replaced with the word "thrives!" As Stan Lee would say...'nuff said!

hmmmm....if by M&M you mean Mutants and Masterminds, I would most definitely be interested! Mark me down for that if it gets off the ground, please!

ARRRGGGGHHH!!! Sorry about my horrendous posting everyone. RL is kicking my @#&* this week. I have the beginnings of Aleena's alias done and will be able to post more this weekend. Apologies again...

Apologies to all (especially the DM). I know I promised to have everything ready by today, however, I pulled a double at work and am too tired to post the things I wrote. As a side note, in keeping with the sense of role-play, I would prefer not to put the full disclosure on these boards as to why my cleric had to perform a Quest of Atonement; preferring for it to come out in role-play sessions with the rest of the group. Does the DM have a off-site mail list that I could send him the whole song and dance of what happened? (such as yahoo or something along those lines)

Great! Thanks for the opportunity. Ok, here are my rolls for stats

3d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 4) = 11 / 3d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 2) = 14

3d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 3) = 12 / 3d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 2) = 10

3d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 4) = 10 / 3d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 6) = 15

3d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 5) = 9 / 3d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 3) = 6

3d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 5) = 11 / 3d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 1) = 11

3d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 2) = 14 / 3d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 5) = 16

Unfortuantely, I have to get ready for work now but I will have an alias and the rest of her character sheet worked up by the end of today (3-3-10).

Hmmmm....dont know if Im in the game or not but looking around at the characters thus far here is what I see: a dwarven fighter, a human monk, a human bard, and an elven arcane trickster. I was thinking of playing a female (not sure on the race just yet; leaning towards a human) cleric who has just been reinstated to the faith of Iomedae. I was reading up on the cleric class when I came across the ex-cleric passage in the text. This got me started thinking: How would a cleric play knowing that he or she had just gotten back in with the good graces of their deity? It might make for some interesting role-play :) AAANNNNDDDDD, since the game is 8th level characters, that gives plenty of opportunities for the Cleric to have sufficiently ticked off her deity and paid (literally) the price to get back in on speaking terms with her again. What does everyone else think?

Hello, all! Just wondering if there was still a slot open for the Pathfinder RPG One-shot? I am a veteran player from over 25 years of D&D but am relatively new (but not a COMPLETE noob) to play by post :) I am up to play just about any class that the group might need, I just wanna get in and play around some, lol. Were ther any healers/priests ? I didnt remember seeing one. Regardless, just let me know what type of character is needed and if there is still room to play. I would love getting in on this game! Thanks

Hey everyone, I live in the Florence, Alabama area and am looking for a Pathfinder game to play in or run. I would prefer playing, seeing as I am new to the Pathfinder system. I have played RPGs for over 20 years now, so I am experienced player. I have also run a game for at least half that time. Feel free to contact me at Ranger820@yahoo.com and lets try to get something rolling!

PS: Also, I would be willing to play in a PbP or PBEM game. I prefer a in-person game but I would play this way as well.
