It's a useless feat if your class granted saving throw is equal to or higher than the value Canny Acumen grants. The smart thing to do is retrain the feat when it stops/starts being useful.

So what you you say is that this feat doesn't stack with the class abilities that grant you increases to saving throws and perception. It would seem logical though for them to stack, I mean can you actually train a feat and then retrain to another when the first one seems useless? Can you point me to the rule book page that clarifies that?

So I have this question about the Canny Acumen feat.

As a working hypothesis, let us assume I play a sorcerer and choose this feat before level 5 to increase my Fortitude saving throw proficiency rank to Expert. At level 5 the sorcerer gets the Magical Fortitude ability which gives them Expert rank to Fortitude saving throws. If you already are Expert (having taken the Canny Acumen feat) what happens then? Do you get to increase the corresponding saving throw to Master? And what happens at level 17 in which the Canny Acumen lets you increase the saving throw to Master? Do you get to increase it to Legendary instead?

Thanks for your input.
