Yeah, without a sleight of hand check, I'm not sure how we get the key from the first mate. We either need to break down the door or abandon task.

"I have an idea..." Auryn says.

She performs a ritual to summon her Eidolon, then says "Chase me around, blow and bluster like you are so good at. It will be like a game," she says to Cyclone.

With instructions in place, she waits for her companions to swim to the ship, then stands on the deck and starts screaming at the top of her lungs.

"Help! Something is attacking me!"

Tsukai, I'm thinking you're wondering whether Auryn is a blonde for thinking something dumb, but we have 2 of 3 tasks to complete, right? When I ask which one we should do, the letter says we can either 1) go to Overflowing Oyster to disrupt meeting, 2) steal shipping documents from smuggling ship, or 3) find the alchemist. We just need to complete 2 of 3, but not in any order.

Auryn shrugs. "I kind of thought it sounded fun to disrupt this meeting at the Overflowing Oyster. I bet we could easily do that!"

Auryn brightens up at the sight of Janira.

She approaches the halfling and takes a seat next to her.

"Hi Janira! We're back! Ummm...we've run into sort of a dead-end, but we're following some important leads!"

She goes on to explain what they have found, including the names Doulgonir Caskmail,Karina Clamp, and Hollis 'Evil Grin' Thorne.

"And there were underlined words on the Wall of Names," she says, and taking out her notes explains what the words were.

"Does this mean anything to you?"

"But now that we're real Pathfinders, isn't our job to do some investigation, too? Don't we need to do a little more exploring before we report? I don't know...I think we should go find this Fimbrik fellow. Maybe Dreng will be even more impressed if we have some more information we have found!"

Is there a written requirement to spread out the damage? Obviously not.

Yes, some of us are angry and upset by the outcome of our adventure.

Arguing amongst ourselves and insulting each other isn't going to fix this adventure.

This adventure still needs a "Bone Keep" style disclaimer about how dangerous and deadly it is. Players 9th level and below will die.

The paragraph of box text just before the first encounter is misleading and should be rewritten.

Start with those minor issues first.

You did not leave an option to report total failure. Total failure being TPK, gems all taken by the ghost, and helpless Sages killed by ghost, divs, anti Paladin minion, and etc.
A fine end to the Scarab Sages indeed.

In The paragraph of box text just before the first encounter, the players are told to "disable the device" and that one of the Sages would help them. This seems deliberately misleading, as "disable the device " means send in the rogue, not make a dc 30ish knowledge arcana or religion.
So of course, the trap goes off.
Is this bait and switch tactic going to become the new norm? I 1 starred this adventure just on that deceptive tactic alone.

Some adventures deserve a zero star rating. You can give an Uber or Lyft driver zero stars for a bad experience, But no matter how awful a PFS mod is, we the player are still forced to give a module at least one star.

I played PORT GODLESS at MegaCon, and I had a great time. Our group was well balanced, and our judge allowed for some planning and improvisation. It was the fun I had at this table that encouraged me to continue playing Pathfinder, especially after the utter crapfest that was the first part of EYES OF THE TEN.

Between the Demons of the Worldwound and Baba Yaga in Irrissen, we Eagle Knights a going to have more work than we can handle. Perhps we shouid form an alliance with one of the Hellknight orders. Better the Devil we know than the Demon we don't.
