What in the name of Ibra do the groups of 3 glyphs under the section headers of Player Core and GM Core mean? Why are they not present in any other books? Why are they wildly varied in Player Core, but in GM Core it's just two different sets depending on whether the background is white or blue!?

I've just started my very first game in SF2 after studying the system for months and running a portion of Dead Suns in SF1. My background is in the World's Most Popular, so naturally I have a lot of old habits to pack away. Can someone check that I have this correct, and fill in what I might have missed?

I'm playing a mystic, so I'll be needing to Sustain spells using the Sustain 1-action. As I understand it, if the Sustain action is disrupted, I lose the spell. Sustain does not have the Manipulate or Move traits, so it doesn't trigger Reactive Strike. The only trait it does have is Concentrate.

Questions are:
- Is there anything that targets the Concentrate trait that I've missed?
- What does Concentrate actually do, mechanically? Am I limited to one ongoing Concentrate at a time?
- What common actions or reactions specifically target and disrupt Sustain, if any?

EDIT: With a little more Ctrl+F magic, I've found stuff like the Anomaly witchwarper's quantum field, but I'm looking for anything that's more broadly available than a class feature.

Thanks for your insights!

Regarding armor specialization: I was surprised that "resilience value" appears literally nowhere else in Player Core or GM Core, and had to assume that refers to the Resilience stat that (apparently) comes only from Improvement tier Advanced and above, or from Pathfinder resilience runes. Is that correct?

I am struggling to see the substantial benefit of heavy armor. Yes, the Bulwark trait compensates for Dex penalty on Reflex saves against damage. If you're a Soldier, Walking Armory can let you reduce the Bulk if you're both strong and hearty. But in terms of AC, why is the difference so little?

A friend built two characters at level 5 and was surprised to see this comparison. A Mystic with +3 Dex in commercial second skin came out to 21 AC. An Envoy with +2 Dex who took the From the Front leadership style and Soldier Dedication feat *just* to get training in heavy armor, wearing commercial thinplate, has 23 AC with one wasted point due to the Dex penalty. A 5th level Soldier would do no better until level 7!

The only other thing I could find is the slight benefit of armor specialization effects, where heavy comes with a +2 to whatever resistance value rather than a +1. This feels pretty trivial, and only the Soldier gets it. What am I missing?
