to the guy "You can call me Augustus. Anything I should know about that scrapyard? I was planning on looking around through the junk." i will be looking primarily for things that are broken but not thoroughly destroyed, as i can repair things. maybe if i get lucky, something cool is laying around in there waiting for a coat of polish or duct tape or grease.

machinesmiths can look at wizard or magus spellbooks and get prototypes (basically spells). not alchemist books though, i was just seeing if that was also possible in game. no biggie though.

You'd be surprised how people miss the value of certain things." other than that, gonna take a peek at the formulae book and see about copying any that might be suitable as prototypes for machinesmith
