Backstory:
Born in Briskhaven, Augrer was the middle child of a commoner family. His father, a former blacksmith by trade, impressed upon the young boy the importance of belief in the gods, and foremost in Temerious alongside the importance of strength. The teachings of his father left quite a mark on Augrer, and lead to him to forging himself into a servant of Temerious.

For a time, the Briskhaven native had even served the Regency, believing he was truly making a difference. However, the warlike bend of the Regency was not what Temerious meant to Augrer, and the young man left the service of the Regency to serve his god as he believed fit. It was only afterwards, as he aided an old man in passing that he felt a rush of power as the fellow died. Seeking a reason for the newly found vigor, he suddenly felt the sins of the old man, a weight upon his soul that was slowly fading away.
