Such a shame, but I can't really see myself putting forward a character that can really compete with the submissions that are already in especially since I still can't seem to find a concept I want to pursue. I had a couple things bobbing around, but nothing I think would be worthwhile, and certainly nothing concrete. Enjoy your game, and I certainly don't envy you your choices!

As to the power discussion, I'm looking more for versatility than power, as fnord mentioned. I'll adjust encounters as the game goes. Some power issues will be offset by the small party.

Darn, it's a shame Akashic Mysteries aren't on the table. Oh well. I'm gonna take a fresh look at this once more in the morning, my psychic warrior//warpriest didn't really pan out as I had hoped.

If you don't mind helping me a bit more, could you point it out? I keep looking over the thread, trying to find it, and I can't seem to find where Slyness ruled against it.

Edit: Found it. I was looking for a harder "no PoW" than what was said, that's why I missed it. Carry on.

Am I just blind, or was there ever an answer given regarding Path of War content?

Re-imagining of original concepts a bit: Warpriest or Cleric (or Vitalist)//PsyWar of Shelyn, Garuda-Blooded Aasimar, if that's kosher. Planning to use Bladed Brush and Slashing Grace, if the GM subscribes to the school of thought that the two work together, and likely Combat Reflexes as well. Considering something like Monk VMC, but I'm not sure.

Tomorrow is the first day since a little before the holidays where I'll be able to actually sit on my computer and finalize things, both for this recruitment and others. Hectic December.

A Psionic Warrior//Monk of some flavor, I think, could be fun in that case, or perhaps a Zen Archer//Marksman.

Edit: I'm sure, by the time I've settled on a concept, it won't remotely resemble anything I'm mentioning here, now.

Atokos lashes at the man who attacked him, trying to deal some damage while also putting him at a disadvantage.

Well, that attack doesn't look too good. At least I don't provoke AoOs for attacking with my whips while adjacent. Maybe I'll do better next round.

Atokos takes a shot with his bow, after which ,the next round, he draws his whips, and readies an action to trip the first one to cross on a gangplank with his heirloom whip.

It would appear that I never rolled/took HP to begin with. I'll just go with average for that roll, too. I've looked through all my posts, and never did I mentino HP. Strange.

I think I'm good with average +1, for a 6 +3 Con for a 9.

That's a really tough choice. I'm tempted to take reactionary, but having someone with disable device might be necessary going forward. Thoughts?

Now that I think about it, I may not be the best person for that, at least not for traps. Although next level, when I'd put 3 ranks into DD, I'd have a +13 with MWK thieves' tools, I'd still have a pretty bad perception, it not being a class skill and all. I'd be fine with locks, but even the simplest of traps would give me a run for my money.

Atokos sets up a room at the inn as well. He'll spend some time drinking with Einar, and at some point ask, "So, do you guys mind if I tag along wherever you're going? I don't have any pressing engagements, and your lot seems a fair bit of fun to stick around."

Atokos eats the soup slowly, glad to have something warm to eat, although less pleased by the texture. You know, this stuff isn't bad. It's not the taste that's lacking, it's the texture, really. Too thick for my tastes, at least.
