Ash runs to one side of the band of cowboys in an attempt to get close enough to eventually cause some damage with his spear but not getting to far from any potential cover, pulling out his bow and loosing an arrow as he runs.

Askuwheteau grabs his bow and arrows from the barman and follows the rest of the party silently, he is not particularly looking forward to this fight and has little stock in it other then the fact that the few people that have bothered to be helpful to him are fighting. hopefully at some point in this little adventure he's able to get the information he has been looking for. at the marshals question Ash sighs and questions, "are we just planning on riding up to them or do we have some sort of plan beyond shoot them if they don't come quietly?"

listening to the british men Askuwheteau nods in agreement, "It would make sense for an outlaw to be among the walking dead they would have the intense negative emotions that would lead to them being unwilling to leave this plain. My people have many such stories."

"I'm afraid that i do not use you, fire arms, would you allow me to carry my bow or, preferably, my spear in its stead?" Askuwheteau asks, giving the parties pistols a look of diastase.

When the Erps ask for assistance Askuwheteau steps forward with a nod. "I may be able to get close enough to him without him noticing to disarm him. though i would prefer to have my weapons on my person just in case things go badly. Am I correct in believing that deputizing would allow us to do just that?"

As the conversation winds down and Claire goes to talk to Holiday Askuwhteau approaches Wyatt with a question. "You are connected to the law keepers of this area correct? And so would know of many of the, Outlaws, that would be in the area? I was hoping that you may be able to assist me in locating a man named John Wesly Harden, my traveling companions believe that he is in fact a wanted man in the White Man's territory."

Though Askuwheteau has been mostly quiet since entering the bar he does look up at the start of the shouting match. Noticing the bit of red around the mans neck he moves up to him and grabs whatever the red cloth is, drawing the conclusion that these men are part of the cowboy gang he lets out a low growl, then rams his head into the other man's.

As the group comes to a stop at the end of the first day of traveling Askuwheteau approaches the rest of the party and starts a conversation for possibly the first time since any of them had known him though he seems quite hesitant about it. "I, I have a request to make of you all. The reason that I left my home to come out here in the first place was to find a man who attacked my family many years ago. I don't know very much about him as I wasn't old enough to remember any of it at the time, the only information that I have on the man is that his name was John Wesly Harden and he was in Texas near the southern edge of the Coyote Confederation around twenty years ago. I don't know where he might be now or even what he looks like, but I need to find him..." Askuwheteau pauses as he stares into the fire seeing something that has to be miles, or ages away then mutters softly, "For my sake as much as my mothers." After a few moments Askuwheteau breaks out of his reverence to look back at the party. "Anyway if you happen to know anything about the man please let me know."

Askuwheteau quickly realizes that with his injury, and all the bullets flying around, his best course of action is probably not getting straight into melee with this creature. Instead he positions himself between the creature and the longer ranged members of the party and prepares to defend himself. Askuwheteau is taking the defense action for a total parry of 9

Askuwheteau looks around the clearing not really bothered by the atmosphere, all his attention is on the hunt. Askuwheteau eventually speaks in a quiet voice only to be interrupted by Eddy, "Unnatural, any benign spirits have long since fled this place." Askuwheteau visibly winces at Eddy's outburst before snapping his attention back to the clearing to see the sand moving, "Beneath us!"
Askuwheteau has every intention of keeping these creatures as far away from the party as possible and so moves up to attack the closest one, using the reach of his weapon to stay back from the creatures himself. Askuwheteau's first attack is a straight thrust at center mass to deal damage to any internal organs, that might still exist or be necessary. His second is also center mass but he adds a twist at the end of the thrust in hopes of dealing extra damage with the barb on the base of the spearhead.

Askuwheteau shakes his head at the argument going on around him. Why is it that when a trained hunter makes a suggestion regarding a beast he gets ignored, but when some doe-eyed white-woman makes the same damn suggestion everyone takes it as shaman-word, I'll understand white-men. Walking over to Cornealius, Askuwheteau puts one hand on his should and gives him a dead serious look. "Cornealius once, many moons ago, my people faced a similar dilemma when a group of traders came across the remains of a bear attack. the warriors protecting them felt duty bound to protect the traders but knew that the bear posed a threat to near-by settlements. While debating over what to do the elder among the traders approached the leader of the Warriors and gave him advice that is repeated throughout my people to this day and i believe that it has an appropriate translation. Take Drugs, Kill a Bear. We must hunt the beast Cornealius."

Well looks like my lucks run dry

After breakfast Askuwheteau begins looking for any sign of the creature. Finding the tracks from the night before Askuwheteau follows them just long enough to make sure the thing left then wipes away some of the tracks closer to the camp, there's no reason to scare these people more and it will just make life harder if they are.
After finishing that Askuwheteau sits up against the side of the train car, pulls out a carved wooden flute and begins playing some of the slower tunes he knows in order to help calm people down.

When Askuwheteau hears Cornealious calling for peoples attention he stops playing to listen. Approaching the man after his speech he hears Miss Giles request.

Not being quite familiar enough with the white-mans language to catch Miss Giles' slip he takes it at face value, that value being very little. "You already know my belief on the subject, though after seeing those two eat i am slightly concerned about our supplies lasting. As for the creature it seems to have dragged off the bodies of the bandits as well, with the amount of food this thing is collecting it must have more of an appetite than the 'Brit' men, though it could be going into hibernation or pregnant. That would explain this need to stock up on food."

Askuwheteau gives a silent nod to Cornealius and heads out towards the engine. After hearing Biffs remark Askuwheteau heads a little ways out of camp and begins looking for drag marks like at the baggage car, while making sure to stay out of sight of whatever might be out there. "I'll look for any tracks that might have been left."

At Biff's cry all the Native scout can do is stare open mouthed at the absolute stupidity of what he had just witnessed, as the conversation continues he starts making silent motions that look remarkably like banging his head into a rock even as he raises his spear slightly and brass it on the ground in preparation of something charging the group.

If this thing is at all decent at hunting it will begin to attempt to pick of the stragglers of our group and if we leave now it may follow us to town, attacking as we travel. After that's done he finally takes a proper look at the crate. "Yes, thank you Cornealius, I am more interested in this crate however. After helping lead many of the horses back over towards the train Askuwheteau follows Miss Giles somewhat hesitantly to the dinning car. As for water and, vittles, if you mean food I may be able to find some edible shrubbery I believe are best bet for water would be what is in the train though I will look, and I would welcome any help in that regard."
