- at age 10, Ashira was ambushed by a crocodile while she was farming. It grabbed her, pulled her into the water, and deathrolled her.
- Ashira has been to the spire of Pharasma, has overlooked the boneyard and the distant city of Axis, and has met a psychopomp.
- The outsiders determined that it was not Ashira's time to die, that she will be needed in a future for something important, but they never told her what. She was sent back to her farm, as if nothing had ever happened.
