The side effect of the Anathema Archive is also meaningless if you use a Cyclops Helm to guarantee that you always roll a 20 on your Will save.
I'm having the same question about copying spells from the Artifact. The Thasilonian Spells are rare but I'm concerned about things like Blood Money which can be easily abused. It's really easy for a Wizard to get an incredibly high Strength score using spells like Magic Jar on a Giant combined with Formed of the Dragon III and a few other items or simple spells. That means that getting free Wish spells or Permanency is child's play.
