Congrats GW and squad members! That was a fun ride.

I am receiving one. They make nice upgrades and keepsakes. I'm sure Ryan and team would trade a little writers cramp for the funding

@GW - can we ask for a new add on? How about a print of the Spire book cover with a personalized autograph from a favorite author contributing? Something simple like "Thanks for backing" and your name. That would make an awesome frame-able keepsake to remember this journey.

I'd suggest a $50 or $100 amount for the glossy print

Hoping for some additional add on for in-game items. Mounts, bonus xp, a +1 sword...

I like the game time but the other add ons aren't compelling enough for me to give more yet.

The game is based on Pathfinder, but I don't know to what degree the character creation process will be the same. I would pay more for additional feats or skill points.

Ideas: $25 for a get an extra feat at character creation (like a human), +2 to your preferred stat, +5 to a class skill like pick lock or disable device.

The reward needs to be big enough to be buzz worthy and to create demand enough to make paying more today worth the year long wait. But I think you can do it in a way that allows backers who want to help fund more to get stronger by a small margin and not disrupt the game.

Would be nice to be able to open up a small shop in a corner or alley somewhere to sell items I get from pillaging/stealing or adventuring without having to truly be there a great deal of time.

Get an NPC to run the shop or perhaps hire another Player to run the shop for me.

I agree. So many cool possibilities fr players who want to focus on enterprise vs. settlement building.

I am personally hoping for everything creative players used to enjoy in Ultima Online and then some. Back when the MMO world was young, UO players like myself used to not only run our own businesses, but we actually ran caravans of goods from one town to another. We arranged for protection by friendly players while risking the danger of ambush from hi-lighted guilds or the occasional PKer, then set up a player run market upon reaching destination (if the stock arrived safely). Players who didn't wish to risk the trip could wait safely in the market city, coin in hand, and carry out their transactions upon the caravan's arrival. These were whole afternoon events arranged by the players themselves - no auction house or automated transactions - just us.

Sign me up! That's what I'd love to do as a draymaster/teamster. :)

Awesome!!

Had a random thought worth sharing. Part of what makes this game so enticing is the sandbox. Why not build the game to dump out various RSS like feeds. Fan sites and ambitious debs could pick those up and make "newspaper" like updates that could be shared on a blog or via email.

Personally, I would love to get a little fun reading at work. Picture getting "Harpo's World Digest" each day, or once per week. Talk of new settlements, major events, major monsters killed, player vs. player wars, etc.

It would give players a way to enjoy all the in game drama, get pumped p to take part, and even a way to share with friend. "Check it out! We made the Goblin Gazette!" Posted to Facebook....

I love the idea of being able to start a tavern, hire some bards for entertainment and maybe a few NPC bouncers. Has there been any talk about being able to start businesses inside of player cities? Anything from a stand at the plaza selling herbs and fruit - to a permanent structure that could be a guild hall, leather crafters shop...heck even a building to showcase a taxodirmist's stuffed monster collection for a fee.

I think you could get some really solid gaming together around this! Establishing and defending trade routes, paying adventurers to keep local roads clear, alliances between trading companies that don't depend on town-to-town relationships...etc

Any thoughts?
