After casting Telepathic Bond amongst my party, I have plans to cast Magic Jar and possess another creature. I'm curious as to how the telepathy functions in these cases:
(1) Can I communicate through my bond while in the magic jar?
(2) If I possess a body, do I have the link while in that second body?
Magic Jar states that I keep my "mental abilities" while occupying the host body; but cannot use extraordinary or supernatural abilities. Is the telepathy established by Telepathic Bond considered a mental ability or something? Telepathic Bond specifically says "no special power or influence is established as a result of the bond", which makes me feel like it's a mental ability. So that should mean that when I'm in another body, it should still be active, letting me talk to my party while running around in the other body. Right?
I feel similarly for when I'm in the magic jar. I can sense life force within the jar, so I'm still aware, so I should be able to send thoughts to others. But is the jar on the same plane of existence, which is a requirement for telepathic bond. The Magic Jar spells calls out that you must "attack any life force within 10 feet per caster level ( and on the same plane of existence )", which means that the jar is still on the same plane I left from?
Am I correct in assuming that I still keep my group telepathy channel while using Magic Jar? Any feedback would be appreciated!
