I'm confused as to how the Chronicle Sheets allowing more exotic races work, and what exactly they are supposed to do, as well as how to obtain them. Is this listed somewhere on the site, or did I misss something?

When you get one of these chronicle sheets, it allows you to use it to create a new character of that race. That chronicle must be the first chronicle for that character. As well, the chronicle sheet requires you (at least on the ones I have) to bring the appropriate book that contains that race with you (for example, I have sheets allowing me to play a Dhampir and an Ifritt, so I made new characters, one of each race. I have to bring the Bestiary 2 with me to games where those characters will play, since that is the book where those races are described.)

And, as was mentioned, these chronicles (sometimes called "boons" I think) are given out at conventions, etc.

I am running a PFS game for a private group event tomorrow, and one of my players dropped out, so I am down to 3. I know that, to make a legal table, I can run a level-appropriate pre-gen. No problem.

When I report the event when I am done, do I need to report the pre-gen as the 4th character? Do I only report the 3 players who played?

I have never had to play a pre-gen before as a GM, so this is new territory for me.

Thanks for any help you can give!
