Eyeless Elf
Beneath Kenabres - Temple of Torag
The menace destroyed, the celestial dog returns to it's masters side. Aravash kneels down and scratches it behind the ears, a warm smile spreading across his face as it gives a happy bark. "Hyvä poika, Fyfe."
Elven:
"Good boy, Fyfe." He stands, his smile fading. He cocks his ear for a moment. "Where is Gwerm?" he asks.

Round 2
Aravash completes his casting and there is suddenly a dog standing in the space he vacated moments ago. The summoned canine growls in anger and runs between Venia and the Vale sisters to bite their enemy, it's jaws tearing away long ribbons of rotten robe and pale flesh! The huecuva reels backwards at the dog's assault, glaring down at the animal through the wisps of smoke curling up from it's chest. Dog inflicts 7 damage.
GM Rolls: Att Bite, smite: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 + 2 = 16 Dam Bite, smite: 1d4 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 1 + 2 = 7

Beneath Kenabres - Cave of Torag
Once there is a pause in the converstion between Auric and the sisters Vale, Aravash starts talking. "We are in a temple to Torag? Fascinating. Please, Astra, could you describe it to me? It must date back to the First Crusade..." Out of habit he moves his head about as if looking around the room before lowering his chin and cocking an ear towards Astra.

Beneath Kenabres - Passage away from a Large Cavern
The elf straightens and frowns in Gwerm's direction. "I am the professional here." "I have made a study of demonology longer than any other here has drawn breath, and I know how to combat them. Leaving one scout ahead and alone when we have two suited to the role is foolish; Luna is just as likely to give us warning of danger with her dying screams than with her whispered report if left unsupported."

"Ten, why don't you accompany Luna in case she finds trouble, and leave your light with Astra. That way we're not leaving anyone without support. If there are more demons down here, two pairs of keen eyes and quiet feet up front could mean the difference between surprising our enemy and walking into an ambush."

Meanwhile the elf joins the sisters and their bodyguard at the passage intersection further up. "Luna, Auric, it sounds as if you handled that schir quite well. I think we can be fairly certain that we now leave no enemies behind us. Until we pass more tunnels we choose not to explore, you both should take the lead in case we find danger. "Best not to have anyone caught alone down here."

Astra Vale wrote: "Aravashnial, will you be alright for a moment if I go talk to my sister?" Astra's question is soft and low as she sees Luna go off towards the edge. "Yes, of course, Astra." The elf's tone is sympathetic. Removing his hand from her shoulder and placing it against the passage wall, he slowly makes his way towards Auric and Tenebris at the downed demon. "Gentleman, are we in the clear? If I'm not mistaken, we've left two of our number in the dark."

Getting the Goat - Round 1
The elf advances with Astra, head cocked to the side. "What manner of demon do we face?" he asks, urgency in his voice. GM Rolls: A/Sp: 1d20 + 12 - 10 ⇒ (3) + 12 - 10 = 5 A/Kn(p): 1d20 + 12 - 10 ⇒ (8) + 12 - 10 = 10

Getting the Goat - Surprise Round - RP
As the sounds of combat come down the passage, the elf's grip tightens on Astra's shoulder. "Do not falter, Astra, advance - surely your insight can help those in battle!" Round 1 - Astra, Auric, Luna, and Ten - FIGHT!

Beneath Kenabres - Passage away from a Large Cavern
"Yes, of course, Auric. Venia, Gwerm, you stay back until the way is safe; I shall follow behind Astra." He once again lays a gentle hand on Astra's shoulder, ready to follow behind her when she advances. |
