ARANIK HYM'MYOH - BREATH OF HEAVEN:

A radiant girl with other-worldy beauty. Her long, dark hair shimmers in starlight. Cold breezes seem to whorl and eddie about her, ruffling her hair and garments - even when the air is still. She wears an ornate feathered mantle, bedecked with gleaming shells. She carries a long spear.

ARANIK'S TALE:

Aranik was born outside on a particularly gorgeous night under a canopy of stars, When she was born a soft breeze whispered about her. The shaman thus divined her name Hym'myoh - "Breath of Heaven". All her life she has looked to the stars and to creatures of the air for guidance and inspiration.

What do they tell her of the far places they have seen?

On the day she came of age she ventured on a vision quest up Eagle's Peak - one of the summits nearby. From there she beheld the detailed splendour of the valley. She gazed far and wide to all the known lands. She looked beyond and imagined all the countries that she might hope to see one day. And she rejoiced when the stars came out. But on this night she discovered a strange new star and resolved to find out what it signifies....


TRAITS:

Aranik was deeply loved by all in her family, however she caused much frustration for her guardians, as she was prone to sleepwalking. She was often found outside at night conversing with the stars or standing on the summit of a hill - even at a very young age. Often she wandered far, but always found her way back.

FEATS:

Level 1 Feat: Extra Revelation

Campaign Feat Rugged Northerner:
Aranik is at home in the rugged northern wilderness
She is not impacted at all by normal cold weather conditions. In addition, she does not become fatigued by frostbite or hypothermia.

Human Bonus Feat: Blind Fight
Aranik often awoke from her nocturnal reveries lost in the deep woods. It took a cool head and sharpened senses to find her way back home and fend for herself in the darkness.

Benefit: In melee, every time Aranik misses because of concealment (see Combat), she can reroll her miss chance percentile roll one time to see if she actually hit. An invisible attacker gets no advantages related to hitting her in melee. That is, she does not lose her Dexterity bonus to Armor Class, and the attacker doesn't get the usual +2 bonus for being invisible. The invisible attacker's bonuses do still apply for ranged attacks, however. She does not need to make Acrobatics skill checks to move at full speed while blinded. Special: The Blind-Fight feat is of no use against a character who is the subject of a blink spell.

Aranik often awoke from her nocturnal reveries lost in the deep woods or high up on the hilltops. She has a knack for finding her way and fending for herself - especially when the stars are out. She has an intimate concern with the heavens - as if she can converse with sky. Her nightly sojourns stoked her interest in travel. She eagerly listens at the fireside, when elders speak of mysterious lands far and wide.

As the daughter of a tribal cheiftain, there were specific religious duties which she was expected to learn. She also inherited some of her father's rhetorical talents, which he used so skillfully as a leader in society. Many look down on Aranik as a harmless and insignificant little girl - but she is older than she looks. She is also shrewd and well-spoken for her age and standing.

ORACLES CURSE - STARTOUCHED:

Strange gravitational forces and sidereal energies seem to manifest themselves wherever Aranik goes, causing minor mishaps and strange occurrences (such as unexpected breezes, small objects moving on their own, and faint noises)

Retrieving any stored item from her gear requires a standard action, unless it would normally take longer. Any item she drops lands 10 feet away from her in a random direction. Mage hand and Ghost Sound are included in the list of spells known. At 5th level, levitate and minor image are added to the list of spells known. At 10th level, add telekinesis . At 15th level, add reverse gravity (This curse is mechanically same as the APG "haunted" curse)

MYSTERIES OF HEAVEN:
Guiding Star (Su):
Whenever she sees the open sky at night, Aranik can determine her precise location. When the night sky is visible she may also add her Charisma modifier to her Wisdom modifier on all Wisdom-based checks. In addition, once per night while outdoors, she can cast one spell as if it were modified by the Empower Spell, Extend Spell, Silent Spell, or Still Spell feat without increasing the spell’s casting time or level

Coat of Many Stars (Su):
Aranik can conjure coat of starry radiance that grants a +4 armor bonus. At 7th level, and every four levels thereafter, this bonus increases by +2. At 13th level, this armor grants DR 5/slashing. She can use this coat for 1 hour per day per oracle level. The duration does not need to be consecutive; it can instead be spent in 1-hour increments.
