Well, to solve this problem, very simply, very effectively, having Release Psyche as a prerequisite clearly works very well. My point here was that prerequisite wasn't explicit, but "hidden" in the Psyche Trait. I love Paizo's work and appreciate what they have done for the Tabletop RPG comunity. But I cannot help but think this kind of mistake is too trivial to simply not be corrected through an errata.

Which I did, fortunately.
But I cannot help but think this is a bit silly. Useless feat should not be an option. I mean, gaining an armor proficiency when you already have it does not make any sens.

My goal here is to report what I would call a game mechanic bug.
I mean, if I haven't read the trait, I wouldn't know the action from the feat Psy Brust couldn't be used, for example.

Good day everyone,

I would like to report a small issue with Unleash Psyche and the Psychic Dedication. Indeed, the dedication gives access to some psychic feats that cannot be used without using the Unleash Psyche free action, as they are label with the Psyche, but doesn't give access to the action itself.

I have already discuss it on Reddit and Gitlab.

I sum thing up by quoting this answer I've received:

Under the current rules, you can legally choose those feats with the psychic dedication even if you can't actually use them.

Thank you for your time,

It would have been a pretty pointless playtest if they didn’t alter anything. Your old playtest books are now just collectors items you can put on your shelf.

So basically, there's no "companion book" to help playtest book owner to play a "normal" game without look into the official CRB or internet?

Actually, I wasn't. I just wanted to understand the rule correctly.
My build rely mainly on throwing big fireball and such, while riding my pets. He's a secondary feature. ^^

Thanks a lot!
It does make sense.

Hi everyone!

After playtesting PF2 (and finishing our Kingmaker campaign), my friends and I are finally about to play PF2 "final" version. I've decided to play a Druid, and, upon reading the Specialized Animal Companions rule here, I got confused: "Most animal companions can have only one specialization.", because on the Druid feat, it's said that it can be taken up to 3 times.
Which one is the correct one?
Based on what I've read so far, it seems to be the Druid feat...

Thanks a lot in advance,

You need to burn the action each turn to keep defending yourself with it.

I agree with Zi Mishkal and therefore with Sid Meier. Burning a action each and every turn while raising a shield isn't a problem. It's the fact that it has to be reminded every single turn to the DM.

It would be easier to have a "risen shield" status, where you loose an action for more shield protection, and the ability to react against attack.

Good evening everyone,

Upon making a cleric recently, I've founded pretty odd the "raise shield" mechanic.
Indeed, I don't see why someone has to repeatedly raise it, every single turn.
As a houserule for that, I would state that, while the shield is raised, one action per turn is lost to maintain that "status" or "effect", and that it can be stopped with a free action at any moment.
Aside from that, I really love to see so much enhancement to it's mechanic and usage.

Kind regards,

I just got the items I preordered for the Playtest today. I'm really saddened that the pages of my hardcover and the module are all wavy like they've been left outdoors in a humid environment. Are others finding this, too?

I did received it today as well. Same problem for me. Pages are thin and well printed, which may be the cause.

Sadly for me DHL was a bit rough with it too. Also, my first page was folded.

Aside from that, the book itself has a good quality (the cover is very nice, the hard in hardcover, more than respected ^^).

Kind regards,
