I think I might go with everyones suggestion and pick Fighter with Rogue and specifically Oterisk's suggestion. LIke the Lore Warden. So a Lore Warden/Charlatan for the moment.

Will keep you posted on this creation.

Yeah. I'm thinking we need the guy who is a diversion and the face of the group.

As is we have an Indiana Jones Archaeologist (Rogue?/Bard); new guy-Asimar Healer/Cleric thing; Figher/Mage; Sorcerer/Monk; Monk/Something Psionic ; a new guy who's Cleric or Paladin/Barbarian; and then my dead character who was an Asimar Cleric (no gestalt).

So I really like the idea of the one guy who can actually steal things, charm and distract with skill vs fists and magic. Besides, our dm has found ways to create magical dead-zones before...hmm.

I hadn't considered Charlatan, my faulty brain-catalogue was thinking of something different. That my be the ticket for the Rogue side.

Maybe Charlatan/Buccaneer or Burglar/Celebrity.

And if you recall BC as Autolycus, then you prolly remember Briscoe County Jr. Ah that 90's action schlock...I miss thee.

Rogue Sneak Attack and Bardic Spells compliment each other nicely. Oh, your blind? Sneak Attack! What's that? I'm invisible? Sneak Attack! Add in the Arcane Strike feat and Bardic Performance...

Have you considered the Antagonize feat, Apostle?

I've not gotten far enough to consider feats yet. Very early in this character's dev. My other character died in our last session so this one is literally something I just thought of today.

Though Celebirty and Buccaneer are starting to get my fancy on Bard side. Still not sure on the Rogue...

Our GM is running a low-level campaign where he's allowing gestalt characters (without the XP penalty).

Since I just cant stand being like the rest of the party I want to run something other than a figher or magic user or healer. I'm thinking Autolycus from Xena/Hercules tv shows. A staight-up Rogue/Bard seems okay, or Acrobat mix, but I wanted to get advice from those more experienced in the nuances of Pathfinder rules/classes. Mostly played 3.5 myself.

For those not familiar with this character, Autolycus was a braggart and self-claimed "king of thieves" whose mouth, at times, caused him more trouble than he could handle.

I plan on playing the character fairly true to this but more in the role of a thief and distraction to the bad guys. What was that old AD&D class, bladedancer? but with less suck.
