"Good vork," Anzath nods at Aurora and spits on the pile of cleric pulp. She looks over her shoulder and quickly assesses the situation.

"Sh!t."

Anzath uncharacteristically risks her life to give Bedlam a fighting chance. She rushes up the stairs to take out the acolyte not engaged with Lolly. Or maybe, there's two acoloytes on the map but only one in initiative. If there's no acolyte on the lava platform, let me know, because that makes a world of difference.

a big part of me wants to keep running because I feel invested in the character. Maybe if we can get to a big story resolution point in the game i'd be more happier wrapping things up.

The highest lvl I've DMd was 5th level in person until that group fell apart (I'm still sore, had a few panic moments trying to hold the game together...)

if we were to continue playing as a group in a new game, I'd rather try using a VTT or something (although I don't currently have the tech capabilities of playing VTT). My in person group devolved into running the game via Discord with hand drawn maps and minis during the pandemic. It's not ideal, but is much closer to running the game in person. You also have the headache of managing scheduling to keep the game consistent.

Why does our hobby have to be so hard?

(as an aside, my graduating gpa from undergrad was a 2.4, gradschool was a 4.0, so I'm super proud of that 4.0, although no employer will ever care about a gpa.)

Anzath suddenly appears as quickly as she vanished, furiously disappointed all of her strategizing had gone to waste due to stupid self sacrificing clerics. Her blades are bloodthirsty, as is she.

She turns to her nearest potential victim and flicks her wrist.

Then she moves from the doorway into the room to stand beside two of the nearest cultists, silently drawing her blades. Should be able to do so sagely unless they can see invisibility.

Oh yeah, she's evil, if that helps protect her from the door curse.

I'm fine for moving forward, just remove the curses now. if you're real persnickity, you can go back and undo any failed saves that would have been successes, at best, that might give Trag his turn back.

Anzath hastily moves to just in the doorframe, behind Aurora, stopping when she sees the cultists beginning to crowd the area. She hurls the golden bead past her comrades to catch as many of the cultists she can in a fireball. I put up a 20ft radius circle on the map catching 5 of the cultists, (and possibly Bedlam, but I think he's ok).

GM, there was a secret door at 5? Or was that just the mechanism to trigger the portcullis? If a secret door, I say we head back there. If not, I don’t mind checking out level 4 B-F. Unless we’re aware of any of the tunnels leading to the southern portion of the map from 3 or 6.
