About Ansley Tanner
Ansley watched the good father sleep, his breathingragged his chest barley moving.
I have not had long enough to train and now it is downto me to make the pilgrimage to Sandpoint andrepresent my town. I guess Desna has blessed me...some... not enough to turn back the clock for FatherWhistlestop though. What can I expect, I came to thefaith so late in life. Still I will honor my word.
The priest chest rose and fell slower and slower on hisdeath bed until, near midnight, it stopped. Ansley didnot weep as she rose and rang the church bell threetimes to single what had past. Knowing he had to be onthe road she said a short prayer and headed for thechurches old horse for the ride to Sandpoint.
After 52 years I am moving on from my adopted home.Whistlestop said Desna had spoken to him and I wouldbe needed. Not sure who will need an old former cityprotector turned priestess but I will I trust his, and moreimportantly Desna’s guidance.
Anyone in town could see a familiar figure of a wellknowen dwarf leaving in the night. A bit stooped withage but known to be very tough. The former head of theguard had her shield on her back and weapon at herside as she slowly rode out.
