So my question is which Iconic/ or npc enforsys the heart and soul of pathfinder for you ?

For me it would have to be Eando Kline, his dirty, down to earth and for me the way he is put over in his journal he is the type of Iconic that you can not help but like.

l just wish that the gods at paizo hurry up and bring him back or ... god only knows l would love novels on him much as "drizzt do'urden" in Forgotten Realms

Ok random question, How many players loot every thing in an adventure ?
What I'm talking about is Weapons, Ammo, Armour and of course Art/Goods (I.E Rugs, Tapestries, Statuettes etc.)

The reason l ask is that l thinking about a new Halfling PC that is going to be a bit of a Kleptomaniac, she deals with it by looting everything she can when she is adventuring, This is all so what drived her to a life as an adventurer

So l was looking though my old dragon magazines and l come a cross this "Scouts Journal" and as l see it, it would make a good addition to any Pathfinders out there.

A few things l would like to know
- how would you change it so that instead of a scroll it could be in a journal ?
- how can you change it so that once you have used up one "journal" you can attune it to a new one ? (so that it will get rid off the 100 miles limit on it)
- As the Scouts Journal is now bound to a book could you give it a command word so that you can stop and start it recording in major cites or places were you have all ready been ?

Any help or tips on this would be a great help.

Scouts Journal spoiler:
A scouts Journal typically appears not as a book but rather as a large ornate paechment scroll brilliantly illuminated with mysterious symbols mounted on a backing of supple worked leather. These Scrolls are opened or closed using two rolling rods on each side. Rolled into the parchment of a new scouts Journal is a plan silver ring. Wearing this ring does not take up a magic item slot
(although it does glow with moderate divination magic if detedt magaic is used on it).

The journal tracks the ring wearer, creating a perfectly accurate map of where he goes and annotating the margins with descriptions (in common) and sketches of interesting features the wearer sees
(determined at the DM's discretion). The map and notes are based only on what the ring wearer sees and does; it does not fill in unseen areas or make assumptions. The journal records only maps, notes, and sketches, and cannotbe used to record specific messages or spells (either as a spellbook or scroll).

The map covers an area of 100 square miles (10 miles by 10 miles). Once a map and notes cover the entire parchment (typicallty by exploring most of the area the parchment can map out) both it and the ring lose their magical properties and revert to being nothing more then a map (with sxtensive notes) and a plain silver ring worth 50gp.

The ring can be reused to create a new scouts Journal, reducing the cost of creating the new item by 50gp. Aring can only be attuned to one piece of parchment at a time.
