Trying to get a sense of things yet, not really sure of the directions that are possible.

Much appreciated. I think at least for a few nights I’ll sleep under the stars, at least until I get cold.

“So do you all anticipate taking a look after these thieves?”

Ani listens in, unfamiliar with such administration tasks of a budding settlement.

Not sure if it's been network issues or paizo issues, but this is the first time I've been able to login for days. Hopefully whatever the issue was is resolved. Catching up as I can.

Ani smiles, "Well met. I am Ani. Another stray? There have been others? She turns to the group to ask this question, shifting back towards the cleric as she realizes now may not be the time. I imagine that's another story."

Ani looks around, taking it all in. You all seem quite well-known here. Tell me, what has passed to earn the admiration of these folks?

Ani nods hopefully.

"That would be helpful. And honestly, I was exploring to see what I could find. Just didn't anticipate finding a different place."

Ani is at a loss, "This is quite unsettling. I'm no where near where I was. I'll have to take a closer look at the sky tonight to see what I can learn."

Ani looks around, attempting to both see if she has any idea where she is and look for a good place to do some stargazing after sunset.

"Eluvias has done better than I could. Ani looks around the enclosed space. It would be good to see some sky."

"I might be able to meditate.for insight, but I'm afraid I cannot immediately lend much about the nature of the materials."

Ani nods in agreement, "My abilities align with my focus upward she glances at the ceiling above which I'm afraid isn't going to do much good here."

"The books too.. something is happening."

Looking back toward the statues. "Perhaps that change we witnessed in the other room is impacting a larger area. It's almost like those statues aged to the point of falling apart."

Ani follows cautiously.

Ani watches cautiously.

In a whisper, "That seems a bit unexpected. Have you seen things do that in this place before? She nods slightly toward the statues.

"One lesson the stars do bear in watching them over the seasons is the patterned passage of time. What just happened here was outside time, much like you said earlier, But now time has returned to normal it seems. At least here. Does that impact what you all are trying to accomplish?"

Ani nods appreciatively, "Only the foolish lack fear."

Ani nods, a glimmer in her eyes as she replies. "When you study a parchment, is it the emptiness on the page or the words that determine what you learn?

Ani smiles Impasha, "Oh I could go on and on. I don't want to distract from this she gestures as if searching for the right word work. Perhaps a question to consider. Have you ever noticed how much darkness there is between the stars? In a hushed tone. What would you think if I told you that even in that darkness, there are stars?"

"I do study the stars, in my own way. Ani seems distracted now considering Eluvias's suggestion.

"That sounds.. complicated. But then wizards always seem to complicate things. Ani smiles, but quickly tries to look serious.

"I wonder what happened to this person? Though Ani glances at the mess, she seems most focused on the bloated remains.

Ani listens attentively, looking on as Impasha and Eluvias discuss the strange magic.

"I am well. Having others around in this strange place is a welcomed change. I have no family that I wish to be in contact with, but I appreciate the offer. Ani offers a quick smile before attentively examining her surroundings.

"I will do what I can. At least until we make our way out of this place." Ani finds a place in the middle of the grouping so that those who wish it can keep an eye on her.

Ani nods, "It is voluntary. I control when I change."

Ani replies, looking toward those gathered. "Well met. Pausing before continuing, It seems telling you that I gaze at stars wouldn't be telling you much in a place like this. She shifts, the fur and cloak she wears moving just enough to reveal the gleam of chainmail beneath. It is unclear if this is intentional or not. The stars have long held meaning for me. Some call what I do the practice of an oracle. For me it is as if these bodies pull at me, much like the water calls to some of my kind. She smiles. I make the best of being stuck between the darkness of depths and lights far above Her webbed hands reach up to stroke the thick fur around her neck. And do know that when needed I am able to take on the form of a wolf. I suspect the call of the moon has something to do with it. But you need not worry, my senses are about me - I can tell foe from would be friend."

Ani nods as she takes in the details. "Fascinating. I will do my best to be of help. It sounds like I may be lost in place and in time."

I'm trying to keep my improv here loose and flexible, so Ani's description fits whatever reality the GM has in mind. Happy to retcon things if I get to far afield. Just give me a heads up.

Ani nods at Eluvias's conclusion. "That is true. I am undine. I have been trying to makes some sense of how I got here myself. If I could just find a bit of open sky I'd be better able to make sense of where I am. Of course, there is no sky down here. The best I can say is that I was exploring some sea side caverns. The next thing I knew I was wandering this place with no sensible way to get back to where I was. I suspect some magic much more potent than I have ever encountered was involved. For all I know what I saw was but an illusion. I trust you all are real, but beyond that I am not sure what happened. She pauses. Not a satisfactory explanation, even as I speak it. At the least I can honestly say that I am lost. I would lend my assistance if you and your party might grant me the patience to earn your trust?"

"You have given no offense that would merit my malice. As for deceit, let me simply say that I hope, in time, we may have the chance to trust one another. She nods in acknowledgement, stepping forward slowly as she lowers her hands. It is a good omen then that I have found myself in this place after you all and not before. I doubt I would have been able to vanquish a wizard on my own.

A woman steps forward, hands held open before her as if presenting some unseen object held before her. There is obvious webbing between the fingers of her hands. The dim light does little to brighten her pale bluish skin. The fur around her neck is a dark contrast. There is but a glint from the caul holding her hair in place.

"I did not expect I would find anyone down here. I mean you no harm. My name is Ani. An explorer of sorts that seems to have lost their way."

"Hello? Is there someone there? A distinctly feminine voice can be heard coming from the south.

Got GM's email. Ready to jump in (can finalize equipment as we go). Just wasn't sure what map you are all on.

Nearly all updated. Just need to tweak feats. Hope to join you all in thread soon.

Ok, my previous rolls for Ana when I first made the character are below (see original post). That looks like it lines up. I just wasn't sure if that was the same thing. Thank you.

EDIT: So stats. I am most familiar with point builds so I need a little clarification here. "Stats: 4d6 Keep the best three. Assign them as you like." So how many 4d6 do I roll here for each stat?

Things sort of hit the fan at work so I'm going to be slowed a bit in terms of getting things updated.

Greetings. Lareg here. This will likely be the PC I'll be taking some levels from and reworking to join you all. GM Kevin and I are in communication about specifics. Excited about the opportunity.

Ani rests to fully prepare for what lies ahead, rising as soon as she can to inform the others of what she leaned from the stars.

Later that night after meeting with the party, Ani consults her notes while looking toward the night sky.

Ani will plan to take some time before sunrise to make note of the stars. If needed she will excuse herself from the meeting.

See below. Would it be commune at Ani's caster level of 15? Also, will toss up the various yes / no questions as this bit is clarified.

Ani stews a bit more before speaking up.

"I will consult the stars this night. Perhaps that will lend some insight. General, should my focus be on Skelt or is there another aspect that I should focus on?"

Thanks for the update. That's how I felt this weekend with the great weather.
