Secured to a tree. Was going todrag folks out with it. First rule: ensure the bigger/stronger victim doesn't drag you in. :). That rule neglects hypnotic suggestion.
Angelo twines his arm around the rope that connects Mogwag to the shore, and reaches forward toward the floating pile of debris.
Still under the effect of the 'sanctuary' spell, Angelo looks at the situation, uncoils a rope, ties it off, and offers one end to Mogwag. "Come in from the deeper water. We'll fend off the cagna."
Hearing Mogwag's cry, Angelo takes a brief moment to cast 'sanctuary' on himself, check his bow and sword, and move towards the sound of the cry. "Ba'utan, it appears your question has been answered, and your compagna has found himself a fool. But that one belongs to us, not a predator in the night."
Noting the interplay between Poulain and Ba'utan, Angelo inquires, "Compagno of yours, Ba'utan? I think there's some extra boar here to share. Perhaps we go invite them, very politely?"
"Dragging a boat. Not the types of laboring I was raised to expect. But roast boar sounds like precisely the thing to round of the day." Angelo pours a small libation on the ground, and burns a small portion of boar in the pit, as thanks to Lady Pharasma for a day without a casualty.
"Poulain, I respect your opinion. I will attempt to distinguish more closely among g the native folk. It's not within my training or experience. I bow to your greater familiarity with native folk that are not house servants."
Responding to Selim, "I hope none of them leave. I'd have to learn names for new ones. It would be unacceptably disrespectful and dismissive to call them all 'mudboy' or something. Might be easier though." and he shrugs. ~~~~~~~
"Capitain, what happens when the arcophage 'gives out'? What an awful phrase. It will die, won't it? With what effect?"
"So capitain regardless of the rif raf that have attached themselves, how can we procure a new energy source for your river boat here? If the old one would be dead of sunlight now, is there some replacement that we might procure? Is there something that might be done digging through this husk of an outpost?"
"eh, Capitain, a feast of crows. This carcass of a city has attracted many different sorts. Some have survived, some have squabbled and departed. What you see is what Lady Pharasma has decreed as the fated and most capable survivors. Or at least those that she finds most amusing." Angelo shrugs, "I do not always agree with the Lady of Graves, but I've seldom found it wise to argue too vigorously."
"They have walked off into the jungle. Unreliable natives I understand. I am still puzzled by Corax - I went in pursuit, but she apparently desires not to be found." "Not the elves you say? Let's talk to the captain then, if there's more to understand about this disappeared thing." Angelo heads back towards the boat, pausing only to wait for the others to follow.
"Merda allora! Out from under the rocks they spring - these natives looking to ride along. And now you Poulain, you begin falling at their feet. Pfaugh!" Angelo fumes for a moment, with perhaps more drama than intensity. To Ba'tun, "You - you may want to look less like one of the dispatched around here. I am likely to bury you with the quiet dead." "Attendere. We are none of us going anywhere until we have Hurq's amese back and doing it's work. Can any of us locate this thing, or the dire savages that have made off with it? Come - time to demonstrate our mettle and earn our tickets." Angelo turns with a dramatic flair of his duster, and prowls in a circle, obviously contemplating where to being pursuing the amese.

Angelo returns, "Bah! I can't find her. And there are no bartenders or street beggars to quiz around here. Right now none of us are going very far without that," and he flutters his hands, "that thing that Hurg says is missing. These elves, they travel fast. If they have made off with it, we need to pursue them quickly." "Hey you - Mogwag was it? If you want to be useful, you could get back Hurg's big magical metal egg-thing. Or at least help us get it back. That much good faith might buy you a ride up river."
Unfortunately the blowup happened at a time when I was... distracted. Working now to bring it back together. Though do realize that Angelo is not the one who's going to be most likely to prevent people from shooting natives - even well-equipped adventure-ey seeming natives. Poulain would know that as well, particularly after Angelo's initial response to Umodo.
"We believe this to be the work of a tribe of cannibal elves - perhaps you know of them. We encountered a small band of them on the trail up from the river. Possibilmente you understand better why we are... on edge." "I will go now to try to repair the hard feelings your needless bluster has caused. Poulain is quite pleasant company. Forse... none of you get yourselves killed while I soothe our tigress." Having expended a full quiver of only lightly barbed words on a Mwangi native, Angelo sweeps out in search of Corax.
"Well it seems Lady Pharasma has drunk deep enough here today. Our friend will not get far, with the boat in the state it's in. We have some time for tales - the tale of this place, and the tale of Mogwag. Perhaps Mogwag, you can shed some light on what happened here?"

Buongiorno Mogwag - welcome to the party :)
Angelo takes a moment to reassemble his composure. He wraps a kerchief around his face. "Lady Pharasma reminds me of my responsibilities. I'll find some sheets and prepare these bodies. Perhaps while I do, some of you others may help Hurg understand what has happened here?" Angelo sets out to do as he has said. He raids a linen closet, and a laundry if he sees one. He also identifies a river-facing window (or better, balcony), and several body-sized planks. He sets about enshrouding each of the bodies. He assembles a row of them at the river overlook.
"Corax, your words are certainly inspired by Pharasma. It is an aspect of the cycle that I must contemplate further." Angelo appears less jocular than usual, though it's not clear if this is caused by nausea or because of the effect of Corax's words - or both.
"There is a reason to execute funerary rites in a timely manner. Augh.."
"You all might want to let me help with those arrows. They're nasty and barbed. Fortunately, I have a fish-hook knife in my healer's kit somewhere."
Angelo strides forward to and skewers him with his short sword.

Angelo steps back to Poulain, "I thought you were too grumpy to get hurt." He casts the last of his more powerful spells to revive the curmudgeon.
Having carefully followed Corax to the very edge of the entangle, Angelo has to work to avoid stumbling when the entangle dissipates. Angelo turns the awkward stumble into a 'laying on of hands', and heals Coraxes injuries. Though it's not apparent that the parts of Corax which Angelo groped are actually injured.
'So little good I'm doing in this. Time for a respite.' "I'm taking a brief breather. Back in the briefest of moments"
Angelo sends up a brief prayer to Pharasma to help his dagger guide one of these pernicious elves to Pharasma's bosom, and to stem the hail of descending arrows.
Umodo - I refuse to spend the effort to sprout wings to chase you down and heal you. After all, mine is a death goddess, and that might be perceived as being too much 'on the wrong team' effort. Now if you happened to fly back into the vicinity, I might be inclined to help you out.
Quelle suprise! If it wasn't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all.
Poulain could have undid his spell a long time ago but nope.

"Corax, my bow fell over that way - you may make as much good use of it as I. Here are arrows."
Angelo looks to Corax, bedecked with arrows and blood, and says, "I'll heal you if you promise not to slice me. You're looking very dangerous at the moment, cheri." As Corax grunts in mixed annoyance and acknowledgement, Angelo removes the embedded arrows, and invokes a
Well and fairly said Though for my part, my wife's side of the family is Welsh (sister has a degree from U Cardiff) and my brother-in-law lives in Ireland. My side of the family... let's just say I'm 400th in line for Castle Merrick off the Welsh coast, and Aunt Mary and Uncle Joe both still live in Ireland. So it's in my best interests to avoid provoking slaps-of-opportunity from non-English Brits :) Oh, but do what you'd like with the Scots - I've no vested interests.
Although in fairness the brits would addess that as 'sums' not 'maths'
"Merde allora.. arrivaderci precious bow." Angelo drops his bow, watching his haunting spirits skitter it off into the underbrush. Angelo advances to Umodo, pulling him slightly back from the fray, and applies the divine mercies of Pharasma.
EDIT: Also, Gaki is not dead. After mathing all the damage I have him at -1 he can go till -17 before he dies. He is simply unconscious and bleeding out.
