Cult: Andromeda smiles at Oswald and nods, “Thank you Oswald.”
Andromeda then pauses, a plan forming in her head, before she suggests ”Before we go, I have an idea. Since I have the name of the cult’s base and since it sounds like a prominent location, i might be able to guide us there using ‘find the path’. The problem is each casting only last ten minutes so I could be pretty low on power once we reach there if it’s too far away. We could still go and ask the insane former cult member for more info, I can cast find the path at anytime after all. What do you guys think?”
female Mutant Shabti Oracle
Cult: Andromeda’s eyes widen when she hears Mr X’s words and she will smile before saying, “The parts of the unwanted sacrifices, can you tell us where they are buried? I can use them to locate the half elf fiend relatively reliably.”
Andromeda has Discern location as a spell-like from mortal herald so if she has something that belongs to one of the victims or she touches a part of a corpse, she can use that cast discernment location and get the location of the person or object(the corpse)
female Mutant Shabti Oracle
Cult: Andromeda tilts her head curiously and says, “I don’t understand, Tavik. Isn’t meeting the crime bosses the reason we came here in the first place? If you thought that meeting them here was a bad idea why are you just bringing this up now? Yet now when we have secured a meeting as planned, you think it’s a bad idea so we should…leave? “ Andromeda then smirks, “In fact, I would argue that meeting them here in their place of power is the perfect strategy. Here they will feel in control and are more likely to underestimate us . Besides, a single half elf who the girls seem to think we can subdue was able to terrify all 3 bosses. I doubt even with all their assets they would have the power to subdue us completely. So we allow them to have a false sense of security and he will likely be more inclined to share information with us. “
female Mutant Shabti Oracle
Cult: Andromeda hears the plan and approves. She will whisper, "Good job Oswald on finding us a gangster who is willing to hear us out. It will be far easier to deal with just one of them than all 3. Any idea on what questions we should be asking? Besides the obvious, where the half elf might be and what his powers are."
female Mutant Shabti Oracle
Cult: After realizing that it was entirely possible her group might not have the gold to pay even the discounted price, Andromeda decides on a different plan. She would make the guard allow them through.
Using her innate suggestion spell-like(DC 30), Andromeda will say, "Actually, this is our first time here, why dont you waive the fee and let us in just this once? I am sure your bosses won't mind and if we like the event, you will more than make up for this small loss with our repeated business."
female Mutant Shabti Oracle
Cult: Oswald are you sure that diplomacy is correct? I thought you had a way higher diplomacy modifier.
Andromeda will step in and say, “What my friend here is trying to say is that surely with business booming like it is today, wouldn’t you allow us newcomers a first time discount? You could earn your bosses some repeat customers if you let us go up there at 50gp a head.” diplomacy: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (16) + 21 = 37 also like I said before, Andromeda spent all her money so… Tavik ,can you illusion us a bag of gold?
female Mutant Shabti Oracle
Cult: Andromeda turns to Evangelia and considers her words before accepting the wisdom behind them. “Yes we will likely need to talk to both to ensure the information we are given is correct. It is only a matter of which one will be first. Oswald what is your vote? The gang leaders or the lunatic?”
female Mutant Shabti Oracle
Cult: Andromeda follows quietly along as the two bards mingle with the crowds and gather info about the cult leader they were looking for. She wasn't as skilled in such activities as the two so she thought it would be best if they worked without her interruptions.
As they pooled their accumulated knowledge together, Andromeda will say, "So, it seems if we are to find out more about this cult leader, we can either ask the people who he was threatening for resources or a lunatic who was too crazy even for the cult. Personally, I would go for the lunatic. Perhaps he could still have some information about the cult's location or even something belonging to the leader. I have some divination spells that can lead us to the cult leader if we can obtain something that belongs to him."
female Mutant Shabti Oracle
Cult: Andromeda nods understandingly, "Very well. You both are bards so i suppose you can disguise yourselves and act well enough that it shouldn't be a problem. Presumably the people we will be dealing will not be the friendliest. So, remember, keep your cools and try not to draw unnecessary attention. Dealing with one mythic enemy is likely problematic enough."
female Mutant Shabti Oracle
the Cult: Andromeda will turn to her new group and say, "It seems we are supposed to head into the underbelly of the city and search for this minor artifact. This ordinarily wouldn't be a problem but since two of you are obviously otherworldly, do you have the means to disguise yourself?". Her gaze is primarily on Evangelia and Oswald due to their celestial bodies.
female Mutant Shabti Oracle
I am used to doing spoilers with my other campaign, so you dont have to worry about me Tavik, Oswald, Evangelia and Andromeda: Andromeda pay attention as soon as she sees the two girls reappear. She was initially reflexively on edge when they so quickly dispatched of Lysander and Anathiel but she began relaxing when they switch to explaining the mission. The task seemed deceptively simple and straightforward. Though there was one obvious question that had not been asked yet.
Andromeda will examine the crystal and commit it to memory before she asks, " Where is the underbelly of the city exactly? Most of us have never been come to Minstrix before, could you lead us there?"
female Mutant Shabti Oracle
Andromeda tilts her head in thought before saying, "I am not sure if i would go that far Tavik. The girls seem more than capable of dealing with any threats on their own. In addition, they do not seem to be limited by the typical restrictions of divine beings if they were able to teleport Baba Yaga to Earth without using any servants or rituals. There is another way your idea could work though. Sometimes, deities use proxies to carry out their wars for them. It could be possible we are meant to serve as proxies in this way. Though it wouldn't explain the need to limit causalities. " Andromeda turns to Kharl and nods slowly, "I suppose you are right; it would be too hasty for us to judge their morals without even knowing what it is they want us to do. If they do decide to give us a second chance of course. "
female Mutant Shabti Oracle
@Tavik, I see the problem. You posted your answer at 08:46am the exact same time i just got a post up replying to Oswald when i saw him mention he'd like someone to talk to him in discussion. An unfortunate coincidence. Fortunately, Andromeda happened to respond to Oswald's question about the nature of her powers and her connection to Pharasma. Which answers the question you had for her as well right? Andromeda will smile at Oswald as she watches him slowly drift off to sleep. She will try to move his body to a more comfortable sleeping position before she goes to rejoin the group. She senses Pharasma's energy infuse into the bartender and bring him back to life. Seeing his chest move as he draws breath again makes Andromeda feel a tinge of satisfaction. Yet more proof her Goddess can hear her prayer. Andromeda then turns her attention to the group who are now speculating on the reason their mysterious patron selected them. She adds her own ideas to the mix, "While i cannot say the reason for our reincarnation, there is one very odd fact i would like to draw attention too. As far as I can tell none of us seem to be evil aligned. In fact, there is a considerable number of celestials in our midst. There is also the fact that the girls seem very concerned about us not using our abilities on those weaker than us, a philosophy that seems to align more with good than evil. But they themselves seem to have little care for human life. So, why would they want us to be good if they are not good themselves? Any ideas?"
female Mutant Shabti Oracle
Andromeda shakes her head, “Sorry Oswald but I don’t really drink. My profession is as a cleric handling funeral rites. As you might imagine, it’s not the type of job that lets you develop a drinking habit. Imagine what the family would think if I showed up to a funeral drunk.”
female Mutant Shabti Oracle
You did? Oh oops I thought when you said how no one had stepped forward you were asking for someone to volunteer their powers. Did you say your plan a while ago because if so then I probably missed it Most of the talk is actually just getting to know each other better. Andromeda is new here so I want her to get to know some people. Yasmin I will have a post for you later on.

Andromeda will chime in with, “You are correct about that but most of the stories also include the fact that he was drunk while he completed his greatest feats of heroism. So perhaps if Oswald does heroics while drunk it might catch Cayden’s attention?”
female Mutant Shabti Oracle
Andromeda will acknowledge Kharl’s observation, “I see Kharl. Not to worry, the resurrection spells the three of us are using are likely to work even if the body is not intact. Unless something else has been done to prevent their revival, internal wounds will likely be healed as the body is brought back.”
female Mutant Shabti Oracle
Andromeda eyes Oswald before turning to Gazul, “I think what he is trying to say is that the phrase is a compliment about a woman’s appearance. His explanation might be what he thinks Duegars find attractive in their women.”. She looks at Oswald and shrugs, “Thank you for the compliment, I suppose. My new body is slightly more easy on the eyes than my previous form. “ Andromeda smiles and nods at him, “Ah so there is purpose to your drinking. Ordinarily I would say they are more effective ways to commune with the divine but Cayden is famed for his drinking so perhaps it could work. It’s worth a shot I suppose.”
female Mutant Shabti Oracle
Andromeda thinks for a moment before she says, "Well not really. When i was made the offer for reincarnation, I had thought the being was a psychopomp but it's pretty clear it's not. I have used commune and other divination spells to speak with Pharasma since I gotten revived. From what I can tell while she didn't carry out or order the reincarnation, she has allowed me to remain her herald and is willing to grant my miracles, so she approves of me continuing this life. Theoretically I could use a miracle to ask her to let me talk to her directly, but that seems rude, so I haven't done it." She looks at Oswald for a moment before asking, "Have you met Cayden yourself? From what i know he makes a habit of appearing in the mortal realm occasionally it is possible. Most tales of Pharasma indicate she doesn't leave the boneyard." Andromeda nods along with Gazul, "I am also unfamiliar with the phrase, is it another saying from your world?" Iirc, stone cold fox is a 20th century slang so I am not sure if Andromeda would know what that is

Andromeda will turn to Oswald and say, “ I wouldn’t worry about it. If the samsaran is already in the midst of her reincarnation, the spell will simply fail. If she isn’t, then bringing her back will do no tangible harm to her cycle, as far as I am aware. “. She seems to not really understand the second part of your comment and just shrugs as she assumes it’s something from your past life
female Mutant Shabti Oracle
Andromeda steps forward and says to Evangelia, "I can bring one of them back, but it will be with a negative level I believe. Allow me." Andromeda inspects the dead and chooses the catfolk barkeep. Unlike the adventurers who now at least had a cleric who could possibly bring them back, the barkeep might not have access to such resources. Andromeda walks behind the bar and kneels down to touch the barkeep’s chest. She uses her connection to Pharasma to request a miracle from her, saying, “Pharasma, Lady of Graves and Mother of Souls. This man has been taken from this world unexpectedly and likely before his time. If it is your will, I implore you to grant him new life and allow him a chance to live again.” Pharasma’s power is not as bright or soothing as Sarenrae’s light but Andromeda can feel her ancient power course through her as she makes the request. Miracle spell-like
female Mutant Shabti Oracle
Andromeda simply shakes her head in disbelief, clearly have trouble understanding something about Tavik. She is having trouble finding the right words to address the situation before she merely sighs and say, "Why have you not answered my question Tavik? Or have you realised that you have in fact been duped by the entity that brought us back? You advocate communication yet you have twice failed to address my question. What are you hiding?" Andromeda points to Evangelia, "It was her own idea to bring those 5 back to life. You claim you want her to do what she thinks is best but you try to persuade her multiple times against her selected course and even asked me to stop them. What game are you playing?"
female Mutant Shabti Oracle
Andromeda looks at Tavik and she considers his initial words before replying, “You have not answered my question. If you were given a choice would you have accepted it even if it meant you had to leave your home? It is possible you only saw that loom and weave because the patron simply believed it was the explanation that best suited you and the only one you would accept at the time. A sleight of hand so to speak to trick you into being bound into its service. So the question you must ask yourself is if you had an encounter similar to ours, would you have accepted?” Andromeda shakes her head at his suggestion that she should stop them, “You don’t understand Pharasma much do you? She is not merely a god of death but also one of rebirth. Resurrection spells are sacred to our church because unlike raising undead, the spell gives the individual the chance to come back and infuses them with positive energy. She only despises undead raising spells because they break the cycle of life and rebirth. So no, it is completely acceptable under Pharasma to attempt to bring anyone you wish back from the dead. If Pharasma disapproves or the soul is unavailable, the spell will simply fail. If they were raising them as zombies or other forms of undead, I would stop them.” going to assume Andromeda knows about resurrection spells since she is a follower of Pharasma Andromeda corrects Tavik with, “You seem to be missing the big picture here. It is true that resurrection takes a toll on the ones brought back. However, it’s only a problem if the resurrected people have no way to combat it. The Samsaran is a cleric of Desna and so the means to remove the negative effects is well within her means. The barkeep is no ordinary civilian either. Don’t you think it strange that the girls would choose to kill the group of people who would be able to recover fully from a resurrection?”
female Mutant Shabti Oracle
Andromeda speaks up, “If I may, Evangelia. The last words the girls spoke to you was them accusing you of not truly living up to your own moral standards. They claimed you do not care for the commoners and only paid lip service to the idea of being good. I do not think it was a coincidence that after this the 2 groups of people you spoke to died. Perhaps this is another test, another judgement of your character.” Andromeda looks at the corpses before turning back to Evangelia, “It is strange specifically 5 of them died. How many can you resurrect now? If this is symbolic of the five of you who spoke defiantly against them, perhaps we can spare ourselves by bringing these 5 back.”
female Mutant Shabti Oracle
Andromeda cocks her head to her side inquisitively before asking, “ You are from that planet those two sent Baba Yaga to? That’s odd…You claim you did not interact with any being before you were reborn. Are you sure about that? Because for me, I remember being asked if I would like to return to life.” Andromeda seems to be wracking her head about something, “You said your planet had no magic like this one, meaning you weren’t aware that resurrection was possible. Tell me, if you had a choice in the matter would you have chosen to return to life and be sent here? Because it seems odd you would just be brought back without a choice.” Andromeda shakes her head at Gazul, “My Goddess would not have those two as servants. Pharasma’s agents rarely take life, even indirectly, as all souls are judged by Pharasma only at their fated time. In addition, it is highly unlikely she would directly intervene to preserve our souls instead of simply passing judgement as she normally does. Given the two girls showed us that nearly all of our power comes from their patron, our souls are likely not innately special enough for Pharasma to reincarnate us personally, much less order the deaths of thousands of others to get us to follow orders.” Andromeda then pauses for a moment before saying, “It is also said Pharasma judges every soul individually so while it is technically possible that this is how she carries out her judgement, as no cleric knows exactly how she does it, it is not likely this is Pharasma’s doing.”
female Mutant Shabti Oracle
I mean Lysander have you never played a warlock before? Like the GM said this is pretty standard Warlock patron behaviour. Like look at how wyll is treated by his patron in bg3. I never really understood the hate around WOTR’s(the CRPG at least) Iomedea scene anyway. She is a Goddess, despite being a newer one compared to gods like Desna and Pharasma. Like of course she is going to be preachy and holier than thou. Plus it’s not like she murders you straight away if she doesn’t like your mythic path, you have to actually repeatedly insult her before she instantly game overs you. As for the threads thing, I don’t mind either option. My other campaign uses spoilers to separate posts and it has worked thus far so I don’t mind it. Separate threads is also fine. It’s up to the GM
female Mutant Shabti Oracle
Andromeda chimes in, her voice cool and level, “Personally, I think you all completely misjudged the situation. You treat those girls as if they are merely your boss or your employer when they clearly showed God-like power. Baba Yaga is herself on the cusp of becoming a true god. If they can nonchalantly teleport her against her will and seal her powers, they are on the level of True Gods.” she then points at the 5 who were mentioned by the two girls, “Yet you five insisted on arguing with them, making excuses and judging them. If it were Asmodeus or Sarenrae who stood before us just now, would you have been so eager to push back their every comment and question their methods?” “Come to think of it, even their motives seem to reflect that they behave like the Gods we are familiar with. Tell me have you ever used the commune or divination spell to contact your Gods? Because I have. I have contacted Pharasma and her divine agents using those spells and every time I do so, I do not get a straight answer. They never give straight answers and often want you to piece together their true intent from what information they do give.” Andromeda looks at her hand for a moment, inspecting her new body. “In fact, the language of the letter would fit perfectly as a response to a question asked using divination. That should have been your first clue.” Andromeda gives a shrug as she finishes, “And frankly their test as they described it doesn’t even seem difficult. It essentially boiled down to ‘be kind to your lessers, respectful to your equals and careful around your betters.’ So it was honestly pretty embarrassing having to listen to you all go on and on about how difficult and unfair the trial was.” “Though it doesn’t matter now I suppose. Our fate now hangs by a thread because apparently some of you forgot how to act around divine entities. Despite the fact around half of the people here worship and are the heralds of their gods. Personally, as an oracle of Pharasma, I don’t cling to life so I don’t begrudge you for bringing this fate upon us. I was already meant to meet my Goddess in the boneyard so whether I go now or later is of little concern”
female Mutant Shabti Oracle
Andromeda looks at her letter again, rereading it for what must have been the tenth time now. It had only been weeks since her rebirth so she was in the midst of a funeral procession when she found the letter tucked neatly into her pocket. Its contents were vague and only insisted she reach Skysong tavern at the appointed date. Deciding that this was probably worth looking into sooner rather than later Andromeda departed for the city as soon as the procession was over. As she passed through the city gates and received directions for the Skysong tavern she stop in a nearby window to check her appearance. Mother had always said that first impressions were the most important part of forming relationships and since she was meeting people who were reborn like her she wanted to make a lasting impression. The woman staring back at her was one that looked both familiar and unknown. Physically her body still looked human, just more unnaturally beautiful. Her skin had changed from tanned to an almost golden hue while her hair had become a lighter shade of blonde. Her body was free of blemishes and scars as she now healed supernaturally quickly from injuries. Her ears and eyes were the most changed with her ears becoming longer like an elf and her eyes now resembling slits of silver. All in all, she looked well. Her body was no longer overly skinny instead she was fit and well groomed. “Well I suppose this will be good enough.” she said to herself. As she reached Skysong Tavern, she noticed a jolt of energy. Glancing inside she saw many different beings of all kinds gather and the situation seemed tense. At the centre of the storm was an old man and an ancient crone. Immediately she realised they were trouble and her first instinct was to get clear somehow. However, she felt it. A presence in her mind she had felt only once before on that fateful day. The entity in her mind didn’t speak yet she understood what it wanted her to do. Give the two old humans her letter. Andromeda reached into her pocket and pulled out her letter, glancing over it one final time. ‘I think I have committed it to memory now. I might as well.” Andromeda tossed the letter at the old man
Hey GM, Manicwyrm here. bet you thought i forgot about this didnt you? I have fully statted out my character and written a full Ten-minute background as well. I noticed you allowed us to write something extra for our backstory for bonus mythic abilities so i went ahead and wrote an additional 3 memories for my character. She is a cyclopean seer oracle of Pharasma, focused mostly on divination and maybe illusion later down the line. To that effect, i have taken the harrow bloodline and the foresight arcane school for two of her special powers. Her other special was spent of templates, advanced and Mutant. Her mortal herald domain is Knowledge because it had a bunch of divination spell-likes that fit with her theme. Let me know if i need to change anything |
