So how best do we approach the caravan? Do we simply inform them of the well and hope for reward? Do we offer to sell the knowledge?

Andar looks puzzled. "What would we do with this? We will surely cover great distances with the caravan. I don't know if I shall ever return to this place. It seems an opportunity to replenish our supplies and perhaps make a tidy sum, but I don't see the benefit in guarding it."

Paxs, I hope you don't mind me playing it up. I figured somebody should take the "Arcane magic is icky" angle, and I think it fits Andar pretty well.

That assumes these rocks weigh more than 20 lbs, so if they're made of styrofoam or something, it's another matter...

@ Cerric - for area attacks it's separate attack rolls for each target, but one damage roll. That usually works out in your favor, because you are less likely to miss all of them.
