About Ancian
Ancian had lived a a perfectly average life. He was educated in a very off area of his human city, he became a blacksmith under his father and made a living wage. He said his prayers every night and he toiled all day. He lived a perfectly average life... for a human. But Ancian was a dwarf, and, according to his grandmother's stories, he was a decedent of kings. His ancestors were the last Lords of Dammerhall, before it and the dwarven empire fell into ruin. Ancian liked his average life, for it was all he knew.
That all changed one night when he heard an elven lore master spinning tales of Dammerhall. Talking of a quest to retake the once great kingdom, and of the need for dwarfs to cease their destiny. Those words sat in his mind, as he sat on his bed saying his prayers to a human diety. Was he a dwarf? Or just a short human? He dusted off a book his grandfather had given him, of prayers to the Dwarven gods of old. The book smelled of packed earth and mountain air. He read it cover to cover and then back again. Finally he stopped, closed his eyes and prayed to Torag, the Creator. He asked him for strength and for guidance and he felt inspired. He felt different, as though something had changed. He didn't know what. All he knew he was going on an adventure.

Stone Strike: Once per day per paladin level, a stonelord can draw upon the power of the living rock. As a swift action, she treats her melee attacks until the beginning of her next turn (whether armed or unarmed) as magical and adamantine, including ignoring hardness up to twice her paladin level, with a +1 bonus on attack and damage rolls, as well as on combat maneuver checks. This bonus also applies to her CMD if she or her target is touching the ground or a stone structure. This bonus increases by +1 at 5th level and every 5 levels thereafter.
