Anchard raises a brow at the length of time the man needs to consider Lady Tanariel's offer, but says nothing to make things weird.

Perhaps some sort of an agreement can be made in exchange if we are set on paying another's debt? Anchard sighed. Maybe our goals align in some unknown way, should the gods fate it so.

It is clear to Aerdy that Anchard appreciates cutting the pleasantries. Anchard lends a rare smile and leans in to speak so his question is clearly heard,
I am seeking a perdon by the name of Ragmas. Do you know where he is? I have business, and everyone keeps pointing to you as the last person to know about him.

Anchard wonders how long he has been looking for the counsel of one Aerdy Conrad and for a moment wonders how his companions faired at their competitions.

No one seems to know or care where he has gone off to. We need to do some information gathering outside of the sphere the jarl's influence but until this man surfaces again, there isn't any harm in garnering these peoples respect through fair competition. Anchard pauses a moment before asking rhetorically, I wonder if divine influence is banned from the fire walking and coal holding competitions. I reckon I might stand good chance of winning one of those.

Spoiler:

Anchard takes a long sideways look at his companions before replying, We might keep an eye out for something along those lines, easy enough I suppose. If we happen to find something and then happen back through, it is as good as done. However,
do not let us get your hopes up too much. I suspect the way we got here will be the same way home; teleportation that it.

Armory:
Little seems peaceful, Anchard replies with a solemn tone. Finding this funny man is or may be paramount to our mission and as soon as our proper respects are paid here, we will see to our business. If you wish to make an open offer to look into something as opportunity arises we will lend aid if we know how. We would accept any royal employ as long as it does not interfere with our primary objective and does not conflict with any moral standing or personal beliefs.

Anchard remains with Cerian and the Jarl if his company is still welcome. People of power and influence were dangerous, but their favor was too often worth the risk.

Anchard fights the urge to roll his eyes, the thought of being ignored and having to repeat himself settled the matter on whether this was a waste of time or not. However the risk of offending those in power and influence wasn't lost to him. "Joramy, the goddess of fire, volcanoes, wrath, anger, and quarrels. Domains of battle, destruction, fire, and war. Her following is not numerous, but we make up for the numbers by maximizing the efforts of our impact. And what of you? What is the dominant faith here and why is there no established cleric?"

With a cold yet efficient execution the delivering Berlin's child is carried out flawlessly. The one and only situation concerning birth of a child that Anchard had ever remotely even considered during his training was the exact situation he had needed, and recalling the information as easy as if he had been reading it from a text book. With Cerian's assistance, the service provided was nearly the best one could hope for.

Mountain Hearth Inn:
You need a midwife, or at the least a physician. Not a priest. Anchard chides a moment longer, counting through the coins

Sense motive of Gervin: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25

If Gervin is sincere:

I won't call you lucky, as I only have a basic understanding of human anatomy, but it is better than leaving your wife to chance. I will need to pick up proper tools before we head to help your wife. You can tell me her name along the way.

N Male human Cleric 4 Pic | HP: 37/37| AC: 18 (12 Tch, 18 Ff) | CMB: +3, CMD: 13| F: +7, R: +2, W: +7 | Init: +0 | Perc: +12 | Speed 20ft | Active conditions: none

Mountain Hearth Inn:

The look of flippant annoyance is clear on Anchard's face as he looks at Gervin. Surely you'll come to understand the irony of your inquiry. You heard that I specifically might be able to heal your wife. I am a Jeromian Seraph. Jeromy, the goddess of quarrels and disputes. He raises his arms from the table with palms up and fingers tensed. My arms are charred to ashen cinders. Who told you I was a healer when I carry scars like these?

How much is 'all your gold anyway' and why do you think that whatever pittance you have offered is the currency this Seraph wants? You seek the power of the divine to heal your wife, but then toss gold at the faithful like I am a mercenary.

After giving the man a chance to respond, Anchard relaxes and leans back with a sigh, What is wrong with your wife? Is it disease? Poison? Broken bones? Anchard's eyes scanned the man's hands reactively after his last question looking for signs that Gervin might have been recently in a one sided fight.

Mountain Hearth:

With a heavy sigh, Anchard finds a spot to enjoy the peacefulness of decent clientele and is happy to nibble at more food despite the meal he had so recently and the idle company of Cerian. Suppose we should put together a plan of recourse should the Jarl prove to be less than supportive of our wayward group. We may have need of mounts for travel and maybe a hand or two to steer and man the provisions. I don't know how trustworthy a couple of our new companions are, but thankfully it is only a couple.

We might save time by avoiding a place that is solely known to have a bad reputation for no specific reason. Violence and crime may be the least of your worries if the food there is toxic. I'll prefer to wait at the Mountain Hearth. We can meet back here just before our audience with the Jarl. Anchard says stifling a yawn before heading out to the Hearth. Along the way he takes particular attention to looking at their religious buildings to get a feel for the dominant faith.

Brooding and showing no interest in understanding the amusement Borg was reminiscing for joy, Anchard speaks plainly and matter-of-factly, Our missive alone sends us to him to retrieve information. Always in favor of staying low and out of unwanted attention's path, Anchard seeks to stay with the majority of the others wherever that may lead him. Should their numbers be divided to only a few to each group, Anchard chooses agreeableness, or at least perceived agreeableness, with his own personality and stays close to Cerian. When lunch is eminent, Anchard favors Jark with an audience.

Anchard reloads his crossbow, keeping his aim to the ground and joins Cerian, though more in aloofness than reliving the moments of battle. Anchard took notice that the human strangers thanked Kord, despite the obvious blassing from Jeromy, but Anchard cared little for their misplaced givings. He cared only that his companions survived and watched how they interacted with each other to get better insight on how better to deal with them in the future. They were a strong party, made so by the diverse range of skills and abilities each one possessed; a boon in his travels to be in such favorable a situation to allow his own abilities in channeling Jeromy's powers to improve.

Let us carry righteous fury to our enemies. Anchard says matter of factly just before the teleportation spell shuntd him to somewhere .... else? As the magical energy of the spell flashes away only to be replaced by orcs and possibly defeated humans, Anchard almost reflexively holds out his scorched arm, fingers wrapped around the iron holy symbol of Jeromy. Forge our will and our aim with the fires of cleansing! Anchard calls, opening the gates of his soul to spill the divine energy of his deity in the form of a blessing.

However, at the proposal of walking Anchard is compelled to interject with a audible cough before adding, Three weeks by horse. I am Seraph Anchard, Cleric of Jeromy, goddess of fiery righteousness. For those unfamiliar with Jeromy, she is not the goddess of healing so do not expect miracles in combat that turn the tides of battle by reinvigorating you and sealing your wounds. Anchard starts, though his tone is far from energized or passionate as those familiar with Jeremy's followers. Anchard holds out his charred forearms and hands adding Jeromy chose me to channel her power after avenging my father, and did not see it appropriate to reverse the damage her flames left on my skin. If you need quick recovery, lend me a wand of wound curing, and I will gladly provide healing through another god' s good graces. The gates to positive energy are barely open for me. Jeromy favors any flame that burns hot enough to carry out her goals.

On a side note, coincidently, I hail from the Theocracy of Pale and have learned to be fluent in dwarvish tongue and letters as most merchant families do. This facet should be useful in and around the Rakker Mountains and for the purposes of our missive.

Killer Add weapon's critical modifier to its critical bonus damage.
Power Attack -2/+4(+6) You can choose to take a –1 penalty on all melee attack rolls and combat maneuver checks to gain a +2 bonus on all melee damage rolls. This bonus to damage is increased by half (+50%) if you are making an attack with a two-handed weapon, a one handed weapon using two hands, or a primary natural weapon that adds 1-1/2 times your Strength modifier on damage rolls. This bonus to damage is halved (–50%) if you are making an attack with an off-hand weapon or secondary natural weapon. When your base attack bonus reaches +4, and every 4 points thereafter, the penalty increases by –1 and the bonus to damage increases by +2. You must choose to use this feat before making an attack roll, and its effects last until your next turn. The bonus damage does not apply to touch attacks or effects that do not deal hit point damage.

This ability replaces Armor Training 1.
Cleave (Combat) You can strike two adjacent foes with a single swing. Prerequisites: Str 13, Power Attack, base attack bonus +1.
Benefit: As a standard action, you can make a single attack at your full base attack bonus against a foe within reach. If you hit, you deal damage normally and can make an additional attack (using your full base attack bonus) against a foe that is adjacent to the first and also within reach. You can only make one additional attack per round with this feat. When you use this feat, you take a –2 penalty to your Armor Class until your next turn.
Weapon Training - Axes Starting at 5th level, a fighter can select one group of weapons, as noted below. Whenever he attacks with a weapon from this group, he gains a +1 bonus on attack and damage rolls.
Every four levels thereafter (9th, 13th, and 17th), a fighter becomes further trained in another group of weapons. He gains a +1 bonus on attack and damage rolls when using a weapon from this group. In addition, the bonuses granted by previous weapon groups increase by +1 each. For example, when a fighter reaches 9th level, he receives a +1 bonus on attack and damage rolls with one weapon group and a +2 bonus on attack and damage rolls with the weapon group selected at 5th level. Bonuses granted from overlapping groups do not stack. Take the highest bonus granted for a weapon if it resides in two or more groups.A fighter also adds this bonus to any combat maneuver checks made with weapons from this group. This bonus also applies to the fighter's Combat Maneuver Defense when defending against disarm and sunder attempts made against weapons from this group.
Dodge You gain a +1 dodge bonus to your AC. A condition that makes you lose your Dex bonus to AC also makes you lose the benefits of this feat.

Felgar was born in the northern Mindspin Mountains. The Stoutaxe Clan are known for their fierce warriors, and Felgar is no exception. He is the veteran of many battles against the orcs of the Hold of Belkzen. He loves the thrill of battle, and he is deadly when he is weilding his Dwarven Waraxe with two hands.

Ten years ago, the battles became far and few between, and a gentle peace settled upon his homeland deep in their little part of the Mindspin Mountains. As a result, many of the Stoutaxe Clan began to venture forth into the more civilized southern lands seeking adventure and the thrill of new foes.

Felgar traveled to Kaer Maga and Janderhoff where he became fairly well known as a mercenary for hire. When he heard rumors of discourse and rioting in Korvosa after the death of their monarch, he jumped at the opportunity to ply his skills. Upon reaching Korvosa, he joined the Korvosa Guard under the leadership of Field Marshall, Cressida Kroft.

Campaign Notes:
As the group meets back up with the others up top, they see that Linus and Alana have already left, and are informed that the man volunteered to walk the young lady home. The day has been a long one, you started early with a request from Field Marshal Kroft to recover the young lady Trinia Sabor.

After you turned her over to the guard, you were asked to recover the remains of a Shoanti youth, Gaekhen, to return to a Way-Keeper for the Skoan-Quah named Thousand Bones. This all to avoid an elevation of hostilities between the locals and the neighboring Shoanti. As you exit The Gray the sun is in the process of dropping toward the horizon, somewhere closing in on time for supper.

It seems the streets are abuzz with good cheer, oddly enough, and it doesn't take long for word to carry that Trinia's trial has concluded. Queen Ileosa has announced that the assassin will be executed at sunset, and many of Korvosa's nobles, military officers, and anyone of real import has been invited to Castle Korvosa's public courtyard to witness the event.
