About Ameko ibn Jad

Ameko was born into the tribes of the Khatapeshi desert, the eighth daughter of the chieftains third concubine. She was always a wayward child who would not do what her mother told her and often would ride out into the desert alone. It was on one such trip that she stumbled across an ancient shrine. As night drew in and it became cold she lit a fire, heedless of the sacred nature of the place. It erupted in the ancient flame pit of the temple and she remembers little of what happened then other than the strongest belief that she had been touched by Sarenrae.

She retuned home to be scolded by her father once again. He declared that she would be married off as soon as possible. Not liking the sound of that she fled in the night, escaping into the desert and making her way to Katapesh. There she met a man called Roderus who sheltered her in his Inn on the outskirts of the city. Clearly he saw something within her and offered her the chance to train to join the Pathfinders. Embracing the wandering adventurer lifestyle she jumped in with both feet and has never looked back.

What she never quite realised was that her act of defiance would spark a series of other departures from amongst her siblings and many of them have left to join the Society. Ameko fears that eventually she will have to return home and justify her actions, and their impact, to her parents.
