Ambrus is relieved that some of the soldiers recognize his name if not his appearance. He assumes at least, he is not displaced in the past like in the Labyrinth. But why everyone is acting so strangely is still a mystery. After becoming infused with mythic power within the Labyrinth, the hero-gods no longer intimidate him. Ambrus returns Psomeira's gaze with the steadiness of stone. "I told you, my name is Ambrus Stathis of Aelyosos. I claim Kelksiomides as a friend and ally. I fought beside him during the battle against Ousmariku and he is the one who set me upon my quest for the spear of Theseus following the myth-reading I received from the cyclops, Tyresias. Is Kelksiomides within the city? Surely he can clear up any confusion."

I am Ambrus, soldier in the Aelysos army; champion in the battle against Ousmariku; blessed by the hero-gods Kelksiomides and Theseus; and now I return to Aelysos as slayer of Minos, the first minotaur. I bear Theseus' spear as proof; wrenched from the hands of Minos and bequeathed to me with Theseus' dying breath. Order your men to lower their spears. They cannot harm me. I have much to report." Ambrus is glad that Theseus is freed from his torment. The new power bestowed upon him is mind-boggling. He settles down onto the vacated throne. Ambrus never in his wildest dreams imagined himself the ruler of anything; he was always a soldier; always someone who followed orders; but yet now, sitting in this bare throne room, with the power of the Labyrinth coursing through him, feels right. He promises to Cyanea, wherever she may be, that he will find her no matter how long it takes and that in the meantime he will continue their quest. Once rested, Ambrus decides his first step is to return home to Aelysos. He has much to report. Will DC 15: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21 A portal opens before him and he steps through.

Then he finds some lumber and sharpens then ends of a number of poles into spears and forms a U-shaped barricade inside the temple, which would allow the minotaur to enter the temple but force him to stop under the stone unless he charges into the spikes.
