So since Field Agents can't retrain into a school for free, I'm planning on doing it the old fashioned way. I just need a question answered as far as
I start retraining Scenario 1: I have 12 days so I use them all to retrain. Check.
Scenario 2: I have 2 days left to retrain and then I am done. So since I am no longer a field agent, do I only have 6 days left or do I get another 12 days since I started downtime as a field agent?
Right, but to not bog down the thread, back in PFS1 when you played up, there was a risk/reward to it(I also don't wanna make my own thread about it even if its the thing to do now). Now people play up and it's just a risk, which is bad. Also treasure bundles kinda breaks immersion for me.
I like you Watery Soup, but I have to disagree on both fronts. I like The schools system, it just needs to be implemented better and advertised better. I run into so many players that have don't know about it and they're like level 5 or something. And personally I hate the treasure bundle system as it punishes people for playing up(even with the level bump) and breaks immersion but that is for a different thread.
Getting a free item, free skill and skill feat is good obviously, but the fact that it came from the school where your Pathfinder trained which chances are different from other Pathfinders and your other characters injects some verisimilitude and less sameness which PF2 has a problem with. Earn Income is base PF2 rules so I don't see it going away and I wouldn't want it to for some of the same reasons. I have based entire characters around their dayjob. I also don't believe that Earn Income is accounted in wealth by level as that can vary wildly.
It isn't just low levels. I am playing Age of Ashes and even with houserules that give me significantly more HP, I regularly get hit/crit for a third of my max hp as a champion in plate. For reference, we just hit 7.
Short Answer: Yes. To clarify, he is going to take the Divine Tracker to represent his devotion to Mel Nach, and the Shapeshifter and Wild Hunter Archetypes to represent his feral animalistic fighting style. He is the type who gets along by himself in the woods as even animals don't like him. You don't send Nusku to dinner parties or negotiations though he is decent at throwing his weight around.
And 2 possible rangers. I'll have something up by tommorow, between gencon online and moving, I've haven't had a whole lot of time but I will get on it.
Part of me is chortling about possibly not being able to understand the party at all. But the more responsible part of me says we should all share a language. :)
With this, we have reached the end of the custom races for this game -- for now.
Next up will be patrons. If you've found a player race you like, please let me know. ^_^
Yes please stop posting races that I wanna play. I'm at 3 right now and I have to pick only one. :)
1. Time Zone is Pacific Standard or GMT-07
2. I am available to game at any time.
3. I have binged PF2 for the last month or so.
4. Probably some sort of frontline.
I am starting a RoTRL campaign using the PF1 system with a few houserules in the southern Orange County area and am looking for 2-3 more players. I have 1-2 players already. PM me for more details. Hope to hear from you.
1 - Well if you look at each skill it gives the DCs for different uses of the skill. Like using athletics to climb a ladder is DC0 while climbing a brick wall is DC20. Just think of what things your character would be able to do well or decently. I would think that a Hercules type would easily climb that brick wall so 10+ would be a goal.
2 - Well past character creation you have to take the enhanced trait power to increase your ability scores. Otherwise, it takes the same amount of points. Since it seems he gets his powers from another source, than enhanced trait sounds more appropriate.
Hideo Kazama was born in Tokyo, Japan to Miwa and Hamato Kazama, both government workers. His father worked in Naicho, the Japanese version of the C.I.A. His mother worked in social services. Hideo has always been a model child, an overachiever who takes everything he does seriously. When he finishes his homework, he is often studying for future tests or training in the martial arts with his grandfather. His grandfather, Heiachi used to be a covert agent who worked with the allies in World War 2.
Hideo was always close to his grandfather as he was the only grandchild. They were inseparable. Heiachi taught him ever martial art he knew and in particular the ways of ninjutsu. To strike from the shadows and to never be seen. He even learned how to harness his ki to do amazing things such as tapping into his body’s natural electrical current to produce lightning and to use it to heal wounds on others. When he became an adult and graduated from high school, his grandfather used his connections to enroll him into the Claremont Academy of Higher Learning to hone his skills even further as there was so much that even he could teach him. His grandfather wanted him to use his gifts much like he did to be a force for good and to help the world.
Your mental blast seems too cheap in terms of points. How did you make it so it only cost 1 point? Same for the illusion. Defenses are based off the corresponding stat + how many points you put in. Fort and Toughness run off Stamina, Dodge runs off Agility, Parry runs of Fighting, Will runs off Awareness.
Well PL only tells you what your limits are. You could start with 200 points and still be PL6, though you'd run out of things to spend points on.
@DM Default: Question though, does everyone have super powers here, ala Sky High? Or are there some Dark Knights in training here too?
@Choon: Your combined Fort and Will can't be higher than 2x the PL, so 12 in this case. Your ranks in TK is also a little too high as the limit on ranks is the PL so 6.
Basically what Atsuko said. Every power is modular so you can make any super power you want.
Below is probably what my character will be like depending on power level. Some of the numbers in parenthesis only apply when he is morphed.
Iron Dragon Ranger:
Power Point Totals: 130/130
Abilities: 40 Powers: 45 Advantages: 12 Skills: 23 Defenses: 10
Strength: 2(8) Agility: 2(6) Fighting: 2(6) Awareness: 4(8) Stamina: 2 Dexterity: 2(6) Intellect: 6 Presence: 0
Hero Points: 1 Power Points Earned: Power Points Spent:
I'm totally interested. High School or College both work. I'm playing in a M&M F2F High School game so I'm fairly familiar with the ruleset now. My idea would be a Super Sentai/PR type of character. He'd have decent skills in human mode but all his superpowers are gated by having to morph.
I may be interested. I fully understand the deadliness as I've been through every Bonekeep. There are no sub-tiers so we have no reason to not bring our highest level PCs, correct?
Below is the Seeker-level material that's on the table for me to run. If you're interested in one of these, sound off here. If we have enough for a table I'll put a thread up and we'll narrow down exactly what I'm running from there.
