![]() I am. I figured they'd borrow a lot of concepts from Starfinder, as well as Pathfinder Unchained. It felt like there were some test-bed concepts in each system. I've only covered as far as the classes so far, but I can tell you that if a Ranger wants to pursue bow archery, it looks like the Fighter multiclass feats are mandatory. They get almost nothing to benefit bow archery. They do, however, appear to be heavily invested in the Ranger Animal Companion. I think every Ranger feat level has a new Animal Companion feat. ![]()

Preparing to cast Grease if the akata move into the area of the green square - which is also the area of the spell. If one is there when I cast the spell, it's a DC 16 Reflex save or fall prone. To move through the grease at half-speed, they must succeed on a DC 10 Acrobatics check. Failure means they can't move, failure by 5 or more means they fall prone. ![]()

![]() Fun fact: the Repair Shields action evenly distributes the regained shield points between all the facings. So, Boris can do the Repair Shields from Engineering to try and restore the shields to full points, then I can divert power from the other three to shore up the weak shield at full points. Since the Engineering Phase occurs before the Helm Phase, Boris's action would go off before mine. ![]()

It then thanks the Captain for his hospitality before exiting the ship. As it and Boris make their way to the rendezvous, it muses to the Dwarf, "I see the confusion in the contract. Astral Extractions did not include a line about them obtaining sole ownership of anything Hardscrabble recovered or found, yet Hardscrabble was to prospect on behalf of Astral. I believe Astral has interpreted that because Hardscrabble was acting on their behalf, they assume ownership of anything they find, while Hardscrabble's case is that since Astral did not specify sole ownership, the Drift Rock is rightfully theirs. That Hardscrabble was using Astral's ship to do the job only adds to the confusion. Is this your assessment as well?" ![]()

![]() Alpha-83: Not programmed for legal work. Incidentally, my Int modifier increased when I bought the Mk 1 Intelligence module, and I never spent my shiny new skill ranks from that. So, I'm going to pick up Culture as a skill. Alpha-83 looks over the contract, comparing the contract to what it knows of the laws of Absalom Station and the Pact World - the relevant jurisdictions. Culture: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25 "I am also not a lawyer, nor am I a miner like Boris. However, I will compare this contract to what I know of the laws governing the relevant areas. Perhaps I will see something that jumps out to me." Looking over the contract, Alpha-83 carefully considered each section of the contract, and compared it to the relevant statute. His new intelligence module was already paying dividends, it seemed. ![]()
