cancelled Amazon order before reading this, They sent a Email about not having stock and they were trying to locate some, did not look good, now ordered it with the book depository cheaper that Amazon.

I am based in the UK and a Amazon Prime member

Anyone else had the problem that Amazon let you pre-order the rule book and then let you down with some rubbish Email about trying to acquire extra stock to fulfill my order.

My order was placed in April and they waited until today to inform me.

Please note I am based in the UK so ordering direct was not really a option due to postage charges

Now just the opposite is happening to me. Firstly I used Amazon due to me living in the UK and the postage charges Paizo charge (yes this is not set by Paizo). I am still waiting to get any info for amazon about delivery etc.. And to top it off they are still taking orders for the book

Question do both attacks have to do damage, ie one of the attacks hits but does not over come the DR

Plus other damage sources which need to be thought about Favourite Enemy and Smite are the two big ones plus other sources which I am not going to list due to me possibly missing one

Sorry but this poped up at our gaming table last night, is it counted as a separate damage source or added to the triggering attack and if a separate source do you add other damage modifiers ie sneak etc...

Cleave Through (Combat)

You are ferocious at hewing smaller opponents.

Prerequisites: Str 13, Cleave, Power Attack, base attack bonus +11, dwarf.

Benefit: When using Cleave or Great Cleave, if your initial attack hits, you may take a single 5-foot step as a free action before making your additional attacks. If doing so places a creature within your threatened area, that creature becomes a legal target for your additional Cleave attack(s) as long as it meets all the other prerequisites.

Normal: You may only make additional attacks with Cleave against creatures you threaten when you make your initial attack.

So at last a ruling on the 5ft in cleave,great now got to tell my party about it, the ranger (two handed weapon style) is not going to be happy

was just looking for feed back on this idea it would work just like the combat feats do for fighters (being the "best all round warriors").

It is possible to take more than one archetype as long as the second archetype does not modify or replace any of the class features that were modified or replaced by the first archetype.

Question, is that right as it seems like it could be powerful?

We have been playing as a group for 15 YEARS and the human thing is a group thing, we have not House rules humans, yes they get their skill piont and extra feat at 1st, but my group just think that the half elf tops the human.

sorry i understand but, my gaming group all refuse to play humans, as they say "they are the weakest race"

In my eyes its only the enhancement bonus which cannot be bypassed by adding +5 to the DC, due to if you max out on a weapon i.e. +5 bonus and a "+5" special ability the caster level to make the weapon would be Level 30

Now if you break the rules down firstly you need a weapon making, followed by that then worked until its Master worked then that enhanced (i.e. +1 bonus and the caster level /3 for the max bonus) then the special ability is added, which in my eyes cannot have the caster level as a requirement(see above)

For Arms and Armour the special pereuqiste of Caster level must be 3 times the enhancement bonus of the item can not be bypassed by adding +5 to the DC

You can just buy the PDF files.

The purpose of the subscriptions is to make sure the initial print runs sell out, because books cost to produce and they take up space which also costs money. PDFs don't have that kind of prolem, and Paizo gives you a break by selling them at a major discount already.

Almost every other company that sells you PDFs of a book, does so at the full print price.

No please I am not after any discount just the option to set up a subscription account with Paizo and have the same perk of a early download as people how have a subscription to a hard copy, and this is just to the price of overseas postage and the wish to support paizo by buying direct (which with me buying the PDF still must be better for Paizo that me going to Amazon and buying the hard copy.

The plus side for me is not having to on the day of release having to place the PDF in a basket and then paying of it, I just want the whole thing automated

Thank you for both of your input that is also as I see it should be hexes are not spells and that means items which modify spells will not work on hexes or spell like abilitys in the bestiary

Are hexes counted as spells or in a cat of their own I only ask due to a player asking if he can have a metamagic reach rod which increase the range of SPELLS, and there must be other items which modify SPELLS, so the question is are hexes counted as spells, and as so can be modified by items (ie metamagic reach rod)

Update finished kingmaker (Part 1) and the party found the point system better than just a stat point @ lvl4 (yes i did tell the party about the point system first), but i did change it to 1 point per level (my 1st post said 4 points @ lvl4) with a bonus point @ lvl4 making 4 points given out so far, and not one player has taken up their SAD (they all maxed it out the best they could at the start)

sorry but got to say no to the touch AC, due to the fact that i just DM'ed kingmarker part 1 and one of the players made up a Alchemist and the bomb attacks just killed the main NPC's due to the low hit rolls needed, so guns can not be touch attacks

As an example, when my rogue character reached level 4, her intelligence increased from 11 (no bonus) to 12 (+1 bonus). So her skills per level increased from 8 to 9. She now has 36 skill ranks (9*4=36), just as if her intelligence had always been 12.

I am about to start GM'ing Kingmaker and am going to use a system roughly to same but only giving the points out at lvl’s 4, 8, 12, 16, 20 (yes I know the party should not reach lvl 20)and the value of the points are 4, 5, 5, 6, 6 which is the same as if you maxed out your main stat but lets the players all stay the same “value” so please any feedback would be a big help

Also rings of protection and aumlets of natural armour have the same "hard coded" limits on what can be created at any level, which is the same (CL x3)

RAW says when XP is given the the player if they can level up then it happens (which is why is says to give XP out at the start or end of the session) gaining all feats, skills, HP's, and spell slots. But they still have to rest to memorise (fill) the new spell slots, just like if you go up a level your HP do not reset

From what I understand, this is what is ‘mandatory’ to make magic items. There is no way you can add +5 to overcome these:

-the associated craft feat
-for certain items, especially weapons and armor, your CL must be 3x the enhancement bonus of the item being crafted
-you cannot create spell trigger/completion items (scrolls, wands, staves) without having the spell prepared or part of your known spell list

Again thats right, I know and if you look at this you can see how silly this is, a 3rd lvl cleric try's to make a pearl of power lvl 3 the DC is the same as a lvl 9 pearl of power.

Hi I am just going to start a list of UK based players (and gaming groups, clubs etc...) And DM's which hopefully help UK gamers meet, and also pass information about events happening in the UK

HI am I Darren living in the chesterfield area, being playing for about 25 years, started with D&D (yes the red book ) moving on to Battletech, shadowrun (1st, 2nd and 3rd Ed), call of cthulhu, AD&D (upto 4th which I have never played), I game once a week for some years using a homegrown system but now using pathfinder

I have sented my kindle back due to it needing to be reset to factory settings twice because the wi-fi stopped working (and that i wanted something that could be used as a gaming aid, kindle to slow.

But as a book reader i could not fault it and if was not for the fact that i want a PDF reader (which i was hopping the kindle would do at a decent speed) i would still have and be using my kindle.

I am now looking at the handheld andriod systems at about 7" screen (for PDF's) any feed back on them then please reply to this post

Yes my group has noticed this and are looking at rules to inclue extra +5 to the DC due to being the "wrong" type ie arcane or divine,and making some items like headbands to have extra requirements for the +4 and then even higher requirements for the +6, because the only problem to magic item creation is the time and money needed to create the item

Yes i like the idea behind this,as its been said before counter-spell is never used

So my group has be using it the right way.

no if we find a sword +1 and make the spellcraft DC we are told its a sword +1, just like if we find a cure light wounds wand with say 20 chrages left in, after we make the spellcraft DC that is the info we find out inclueing the amount of HP healed ie 1d8+1. Now if we find ie a pair of boots and make the DC we are told what they are and then just look in the core book for all the info about them.

What i am asking is that the right way to play Spellcraft or if not how should it be used

I am about to start GM'ing and what to know what a spellcraft roll would tell the players about any magic item they find, at the moment the GM of our group just tells the party what the item is (and number of charge if needed)if the roll is high enough

Got my Kindle. Put APG (chapter by chapter not the hole book in one) on it, firstly it takes about 20 Seconds to load a chapter onto the screen then there is a lag of about 8-10 second per page change. I then asked amazon to convert the file to the kindle format (free service), now no lag on loading a chapter or page changes but as a example chapter 3 feats now take 12 page changes to get to the first bit of "rule" text (its only 3 pags in on the PDF)

So please Pazio release a Kindle version of all your rule books

Any chance that a sample PDF of the map folio could be made available just so people can see the detail of the maps, I only ask due the the fact that I Live in the UK and wish to buy Paizo items direct from Paizo but when you add postage it get's very expensive, which is why i am looking at PDF's
