"Well now, that was a restful night," Alistair said sardonically as he swung his feet out onto the floor. He rose, splashed his face with the water in his wash basin, and then got dressed. He went into the kitchen and greeted his parents, grabbed a flapjack and waved goodbye as he slipped out the door. Nothing was easy, particularly fortune and glory. That was a terrifying dream but just that, he told himself, a dream. Hopefully the others were not scared off by the things that had happened and the dreams they likely had.

The more he walked the fuzzier the dream got and the better he felt. "Here we go for round two." he said to the air and headed for the temple to meet up with the others.

To Erik when the halfling shows such awe at the decorations, "Impressive isn't it. If we're lucky we can find a ruin like this that hasn't been swept clean already and strip that puppy down. Inactive of course, or at least dedicated to one of those evil deities."

"I can ask around but I don't think this is a new threat. There was a lot of old stuff down there. There were two things we didn't check out before we left, a sealed door and and blocked tunnel. He'll wait for any response from the cleric and then go see if he can learn anything about newcomers to town or particularly the area.

I would assume the atk that hit Klaus would be directed at me.

"Come on," Alistair says between gasps, "Let's get with the others." He then moves cautiously back toward the others. (single move and fight defensively) He leaves room between him and Belfer for Klaus and turns his attention to the rear just in case.

Alistair moves toward Klaus. Knowing the wizard doesn't wear armor he calls out, "Klaus, get behind me." and then he readies to stab the thing should it get close enough.

It all depends on whey Klaus is what he is? The same goes for the rest of us. A young Marine fresh out of bootcamp if thrown into a situation requiring violence would likely not shrink back. On the contrary, you would expect him to step up and handle the situation. A young Indiana Jones with curiosity, a desire for fame, a strong feeling of the importance of archeological artifacts, and the possibility of getting rich would roll with pretty much anything he encountered, even if he had to deal with snakes. So, saying normal people would do this or that yet a normal firefighter runs into a burning a building because he has chosen to do so. A young man in search of fortune and glory, who understands it is likely dangerous is highly unlikely to be dissuaded by threats to his person. If on the other hand it is a person who is used to going into the job and just doing their thing and suddenly they are thrown into a adrenaline based situation would likely freeze up or freak out. Not necessarily though. You can play Klaus how you wish but just because others do not play their character as freaking out over the situation of dealing with ghosts does not mean they are wrong. So, everybody play how you think your character would handle the situation given who they are and let the GM deal with how the chips fall.
