About Alico Destane

Myth-Weaver Sheet

Background:
He was thirteen when his life was forever changed. Alico Destane, nephew to Jacovo Destane, worked with his uncle at his stables in Westcrown along side his brother Gorvio. One night, ten years in the past, several men rented horses from Jacovo for a mission into the mysterious Hagwood just north of the city. Alico helped prepare the horses, and he overheard them talking about destroying the coven that was said to live there.

The next morning, a horrific nightmare of a great, rotting tree burning, the smell of scorched flesh and burnt bugs, and the screams of two women woke him up early in the morning. Alico felt like his head was on fire and kept hearing a buzzing in his ear.

This intensified daily till a horse's kick to Alico's temple released an oily, green-black miasma that boiled from his body into the form of a great crone leering down at him. She introduced herself as the “Daughter of Flies” and demanded his cooperation. He had no choice but to agree, and she has inhabited his mind ever since.

As he came of age, Alico was taught various skills by the Daughter of Flies, including convincing fortune-telling and accessing hag magic. On his sixteenth the duo set out to understand their connection and what they could do with it. They made their way by pretending to be mediums, fortune-tellers, and other charlatan occupations.

Two Minds, One Body:
The two do not get along. Alico is a Chelaxian at heart and enjoys order and rituals. Daughter of Flies is chaotic and wicked, enjoying pestering her vessel and testing her limits on controlling him. Alico is content with his vagabond life, but Daughter of Flies would love to see him become her pupil and instrument in hag revelry. They almost always bicker and push each other when it comes to moral grey areas. However, they do understand and – to an extent – respect the determination of each other.

Instructions for Botting:
Alico will avoid melee combat unless forced or lacking useless ranged spells. His hag phantom, the Daughter of Flies, will gleefully engage in melee, battering opponents. She will favor enemies that either are singled out and not supported or enemies who attacked Alico.
