Alexander glanced around the rooms, searching for clues as to which might be the Barons study or chambers. Most nobles liked there doors gilded and inlaid with there initials. The fanciest that was currently guarded was more likely the ballroom or somesuch, but asking them was a second option - lying wasn't something Alexander was exceptionally skilled at unfortunately.

Alexander nodded his thanks and headed for the stairwell, to see what could be done.

"I'll go and see if I can get suitably lost," Alexander said with a nod. It would have been smart to have the serving girl draw them a map, but for now he'd simply have to ask. "Sophia, is there a servant's route to the upper areas?"

Wits + Subterfuge: 6d10 ⇒ (5, 2, 5, 9, 9, 5) = 35

"Extra help, sir," Alexander said with a short bow. "The errand Miss Sophia had to run was to call upon us."

Alexander gingerly touched his face, his fingers finding the flesh...wrong in ways he didn't want to understand. He was especially pleased there was no kind of looking glass - he could not have resisted the temptation to look, and would undoubtedly be unhappy at what he saw.

Instead he fell in, trying not to poke at his odd feeling face as they went to get what would no doubt be miserable, ill fitting clothes.

"It will work," Alexander said with a shrug. "I can swallow my tongue for a night, and it's the easiest way to achieve what we have been asked to do. I simply don't enjoy the idea of being ordered around. I didn't like it when I was a human. Now I am much more, and enjoy it less."

Alexander made a face that spoke volumes as to his distaste. "Being ordered around by humans will not be pleasant, but it seems like the easier route in with the smallest chance of being discovered."

Alexander nodded. So, they could take them from the nobles - and silence them somehow - bribe the guards to allow entry but risk one wasn't as corrupt as they seemed or go in as servants and deal with being ordered around as humans. None of them were especially appealing.

Intelligence+Occult: 4d10 ⇒ (5, 2, 6, 1) = 14

Alexander glanced at the symbols, but had no idea what they meant or why they were there. It might be important, so he made a note to ask the others if any of them knew later.

Somehow, Alexander was not shocked that another Kindred was behind the humans attack. Humans were not exactly the greatest danger, except in numbers. "Is there anything you can tell us, such as invites we might be required to present? It seems likely that the Baron will be aware his hunters failed." It was clumsy of him to allow these humans the knowledge of who sent them.

Alexander looked at the blank eyed being before him contemplatively. He was a little peckish having just awoken, after all. But it would be rude to eat the prince's pawns. Sighing, he dressed quickly and gestured for the mortal to lead the way.

"Now that has been taken care of," Alexander said with a nod, "I suppose I should find somewhere to rest. With your leave, my lord?"

Alexander nodded. It made sense, assuming the prince lacked over plans for the girl.

Alexander grinned and bowed. "My thanks, my Prince." He wasn't sure if a Haven was something he felt like doing. It would be interesting to see.

Still here, just waiting to see when I re-enter.

I wasn't sure if I was back in scene yet.

Alexander laughed as Alexandru proved stronger than him. It was always valuable to remember the Kindred's strength was not proportional to there muscle.

Wrapping his cloak around himself to hide any bloodstains - humans were a messy meal, when they fought back - and said, "I'll do so. Should take but a moment."

Alexander nodded. He was bigger and stronger than most, so a barrel shouldn't cause him too many issues...

Strength + Athletics?: 3d10 + 1d10 ⇒ (1, 5, 6) + (3) = 15

Leaning down and draining whatever life was left from the target in fairly hasty fashion - survival was not the goal for his meal, after all - Alexander paused, wiping his mouth and looking at the corpses. "What do we do with the corpses? The less evidence we leave the better."

Making a small 'tsk', Alexander adjusted his spear, pulling the weapon back and grasphing it nearer the head for closer combat, and moved back in to strike again.

Spear: 4d10 + 4d10 ⇒ (2, 10, 10, 9) + (4, 3, 6, 2) = 46
Damage: 3d10 + 3d10 + 2d10 ⇒ (1, 7, 9) + (3, 2, 7) + (5, 10) = 44

Loosening the spear he carried, Alexander smiled thinly and attempted to locate the weapon in his targets throat. No crying out for help with such a wound. A waste of good blood, but sacrifices must be made sometimes.

Dex + Melee: 4d10 + 4d10 ⇒ (2, 6, 7, 7) + (4, 10, 4, 5) = 45

Spear Damage 3 AP 2: 3d10 + 3d10 ⇒ (6, 4, 2) + (3, 10, 10) = 35

Alexander followed behind. He wasn't especially subtle - spearmen rarely are - but he did his best.

Dexterity + Stealth: 4d10 ⇒ (6, 4, 8, 9) = 27
Dexterity + Athletics: 4d10 + 1d10 ⇒ (4, 9, 10, 6) + (6) = 35

Wits + Stealth: 4d10 ⇒ (8, 6, 1, 3) = 18

"Then let's pick a plan, stick to it, and hope for the best. Do we send the child and use Alexandru to lure them somewhere safe, or set the fire and grab them in the chaos?" Alexander looked at the others.

"Tell him we're arguing, as I promised to pay for the room and list my purse somewhere," Alexander suggested in a low tone. His clothes were rich enough that it would make sense for him to be a pissy noble if his coin purse got lost. Thankfully, Alexander had had to whip enough attempted pickpockets that he tended to keep his purse stashed away.

"Possible," Alexander agreed, "But a little risky for the one they persue. If these men have some idea of what we are then they may have tools and weapons that can also affect us."

Alexander surveyed the bar. "The roof might be a choice. Enter through that patch, knock over a lamp if there's one up there. Wait until people flee, grab our targets."

Alexander looked dubious at the idea of fire, but so long as the plan didn't involve him in a burning building it seemed acceptable.

Nodding to the lord - if he wished to keep the girl there, that was his choice after all - Alexander headed out. "Not a clue. I'm a stranger here too, more or less. I assume it's our choice as to how we deal with them. Getting them out and somewhere quiet would make our task easier though."

"I don't suppose you can act like you're not terrified, child?" Alexander asked the girl with little hope of her being able to do it. Luring the men out would be far and away the easiest way to take care of them, but there were alternatives.

Alexander gave the women there privacy. He was sure that Elena would do as the older vampire wanted, and felt no need to pressure or crowd them.

The Gangrel's grin grew as he bowed. "As you prefer."

Alexander grinned cheerfully. "As you wish. Do you wish for the bodies to appear to be dead by the lord's embrace, a natural demise? Or perhaps you'd like there condition to send a message? Or, of course, we could make sure no one knows what happened."

Alexander moved over to Alexandru, murmuring a translation of what was being said so he could join in the conversation. It was a shame his gifts were all of the body, and not of the mind. It would be an easy solution to turn her mind against her and send her back to say she had seen nothing more than a deep prayer session with pilgrims, but it would be a band aid. "It sounds like someone else has seen something they should not have, my lord."

Alexander brought the girl forward as commanded. "Your other guest, Altan I believe, caught her in a flash, my lord. His speed was an exemplar to all kindred, and a sad surprise for this poor young thing."

He eyed the blade with a clinical view. If he was going to kill the girl with that thing he hoped there was a bath house nearby. It was going to be a horrid mess. Not to mention a waste. But if the lord wanted his dinner on the floor, who was a pitiful neophyte in the ways of the night to argue? Maybe it was a focus, to draw her attention - and fear - as he did something else? Or maybe it was simply a display of power - that he could kill the woman in such a wasteful way and none would dare say a word.

"Fast," Alexander says with an admiring grin. It was an impressive thing to see, even among the undead, one who moved with such grace.

"You saw enough to be afraid, and that's enough, but it is not our place to decide what's to be done to you. This is the seat of another, and they can say what shall be done with you." Drained, one assumed. Hopefully not by that other fellow. Simply seeing what should not be seen wasn't deserving of such.

Unless one of the others wished to do the deed, Alexander took the frightened girl gently but firmly by the arm to present to the lord of this little gathering.

Alexander grinned in the toothy fashion only vampires wished. "As my lord wishes." He set off in persuit.

Athleticism + Dexterity: 4d10 + 1d10 ⇒ (3, 7, 9, 4) + (3) = 26

I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say your family comes first. Cat is busy with school, too, so we're not going too fast right now. I'm sure it'll be fine.

Alexander looked over to there host. "With your blessing, my lord, shall we bring the intruder to you?"

Perception+Alertness: 5d10 ⇒ (8, 6, 9, 6, 9) = 38 - Three Successes

Alexander shrugged. He didn't understand why others of his kind insisted on trying to deny a basic part of there real nature, just as he'd never really understood it as a human. Which was not to say you could instantly do as you wished, taking who you wished and killing where you willed. That was just as stupid. There was a middle ground, allowing yourself to be true to who and what you were without being a mindless pile of urges.

In this case, he allowed exactly what he was to come to the surface. His eyes shifted, becoming more bestial, yellow...glowing. The darkness parted and he saw into the darkness, whatever made the noise. It probably wouldn't help with there apparent fear, but then, that wasn't his goal. Only to see.

Alexander raises an eyebrow at the other man's feeding as the man he fed from slumped peacefully, momentarily stunned (probably). "That is an unfortunate side effect," he noted. That would make it a lot harder to feed subtly. "Perhaps the good doctor can give you some ether, to knock them out beforehand?" the Gangrel suggested out of vague curiosity.

Alexander grinned. "Soldier," he said with a small nod. Perhaps the man had been captired as he ran, screaming and weeping from battle. But manners and a little respect cost nothing.

Then he fed, sinking his teeth into the man's wrist and took as he needed. The man should understand. It was much the same on the battlefield, after all. And if he didn't then that was entirely his problem.

We'll try for three units, so the poor schmuck probably won't die.

Alexander grinned at the announcement. "If you shall excuse me, gentleman, I haven't supped tonight. I shall be but a moment." Hungry as he was he took a moment to select his dinner, searching out the largest and healthiest looking. He wasn't so hungry that he would harm them, but he wouldn't mind taking a touch more than perhaps a smaller person could so easily...donate.

Perception+Medicine?: 3d10 ⇒ (7, 8, 4) = 19

"I have a gift for tongues," Alexander said with a smile, eyeing as another of the vampires approached, "So it is rarely a problem. Perhaps when I decide to travel to the Eastern lands I will struggle more, but I served with many men from many lands, and had them teach me there tongues. If you wish it, I will be happy to help."

"Very little idea, actually, although I hope for some super soon," Alexander replied in German to the new warrior, internally resigning himself to acting as a translator between at least two of the people at the party. It wouldn't be the first time he'd done so. "I have some skill with a blade, certainly," he agreed after a moment. "It served me well enough."

Alexander smiled. "Alexander," he replied. The similarity in there names amused the warrior, as did the very obvious physical differences. He added in Latin, "And likewise good to meet you, good doctor. Is Latin usually the chosen language at such as this, or does it simply seem most apt?" Alexander vaguely gestured to to church. He'd never been good at religion even before is rebirth, but Latin was a common tongue across the continent, thanks to the Church's teachings.

Empathy+Perception: 3d10 ⇒ (2, 7, 3) = 12

Alexander raised an eyebrow. Dinner and a show? The lord was a gracious host, and he was more than a touch hungry. Still, he was unsure exactly how this was meant to go. He looked over at the other people. "This is the first of these gatherings I've had the chance to attend. What is 'Elysium?' and what are the rules for it?" He'd probably follow them. It was the lord's land, even if his musical choices were interesting.

Remaining silent after the execution, Alexander considered his position. Truth be told he hadn't really thought about it. His brother didn't especially care what he was, although he knew he was changed. His former troops were mostly dead. He didn't think any mortals knew what he was, but he didn't especially care if they found out. Mortals died one way or another. If he needed to visit Asia for a century or two to evade a monster hunter then so be it. He liked to travel. If it caused problems for others...well, unless they were his then it was a problem for others, wasn't it?

Bowing in the formal court style, Alexander replied, "Alexander Prost, my Prince." Unlike the others he didn't bother mentioning his Sire. The old monster wouldn't especially like having his name bandied about, and Alexander didn't wish to have to rely on his reputation to get anything done.

"Of Gangrel," he added after a moment. He didn't fully understand the differences between the clans, there politics and the like. His sire hadn't seem especially inclined to play the games they seemed so want to do. From what he'd been told explaining he was from Gangrel would grant him a touch of leeway in terms on manners. Alexander could be polite, and it was sometimes nice to surprise people with that, but for now he would be terse. "Attending as requested." Well, terse-ish.

Alexander shrugged and pulled his spear off from his back, tossing it to the guard with one hand. It was a stupid thing to ask a vampire - especially one of Gangrel, who could control their form and make there own weapon - but if it made them feel more comfortable then why not? It didn't put him at risk. The spear just made killing some things easier.

Best Behaviour:
Alexander grinned again at the man's back. "Thank you for the warning, friend. I shall be on my best behaviour."

Looking around, he began to head towards the blessed building, looking towards the others as they converged. He wondered what possible reason there could be for calling so many to this place at such a time, but he contented himself with knowing they were likely to be told soon enough.

Congratulations! And commiserations on your sleep deficit.
