Alexander is a bit down at his first loss, but he starts shelling out more chips in hopes to win, not caring if he leaves with nothing, he atleast gets a kiss from a beautiful woman.
DM: Oh don't worry, counting the coins in herolab, will let you know when out of gold. Can I use silver as I believe as it say minimum was 10 copper. Alex would've converted all his funds as he wants to try and shwo up Edgar and impress the women. Will put another on the following numbers. 3 7 5 4 Same bet at before on each one. Didn't roll because I was afraid that if I rolled it that I could be accused of cheating if I won :p
Knowledge Planar, unchecked so can only meet DC 10 1d20 ⇒ 16 Knowledge Local DC 10 1d20 ⇒ 16 DM:
Verik Vancaskerkin, one of Saul's kids appears in my CotCT part 1. Apparently his other brother was in the AP before that, Rise of the Runelords part 1. Alexander appears to worry for a moment, but he just shrugs as what Edgar says appears to make him confident and the attractive women also tempting any man to write the contract just for a chance to be close to these women and so he signs his soul away, quite literilly according to the contract, doing so in Chelaxian so that it appeared more infernal funnily enough he thought due to how Chelax is these days. I assume that the women aren't real succubi. Real in the sense of that they are wearing costumes and it's obvious like the horns are attached to a headband, the wings bend in the wind or doing move properly, same with the tail. If perception is needed I'll give a check Perception if applicable 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16 Alexander pays 1 gold for entry fee and seeing the Tengu so confident he feels that he should show him up by attempting to out-play him by heading to Ghoulette in an attempt to try and raise more money than him. Alexander places a gold coin on 9.

Lol, well that's how I'm translating a 1. It's common knowledge it's ruled by intelligent undead, but of course with that roll he doesn't know the ghost named Geb or any of the infamous history between Geb and Nex, both the men and the regions after their namesake, decided to say he was too distracted by the women.
Iluna Tywyll wrote: Laughing kindly at Alexander's embarrassment, Iluna says "You should've seen my mother's face when she figured out that I wasn't going to stop growing. I towered over her by the time I was thirteen. Probably about that time she figured out I wasn't going to follow in her footsteps. As for what I can see–" Illuna turns to Tragershen, " To be frank, this is not the prettiest collection of humanity, or near humanity that I've ever had to the pleasure to be around." Iluna seems to be getting a bit antsy, waiting for the line to move. Alexander just shrugs at the comment of riddleport. "Better than anywhere in Molthune or Geb" he doesn't quite know details of these places, but from what he's heard it's better here than those places. "Imagine the stench in Geb with all the undead walking around."

Damn that's tall! Must make all men feel...inadequet. Besides, a lot of men like tall women anyway :p Alexander finds it difficult to hide laughter as she calls Edgar a bird, though smiles lightly as he clears his throat, trying to pass it off as a cough.
Alexander is about 5' 9" with random hight rolled via Herolab. How much taller is Iluna? Alexander looks up at this giant of a woman also having difficulty grasping this. "I've heard of growth spurts, but this is ridiculous." he then puts out a hand bravely.
Edgar V. Price wrote: Heh, the Devil. Sounds like one of my cousins 'adventures'. Simple scheme really, He gathers a bunch of nobles who want to have a bit of an adventure, sets up all the monsters and encounters the nobles would face. Unlike real adventures, most of what the nobles get in the end is just to taste a bit of a thrill of adventure and losing a considerable amount of weight in their purses. "I hope I don't go face-to-face with this so called devil." he sighs and looks over at the two. "Good luck to you two, I've never been good at gambling."
Alexander, though not really wanting to be here, decides to join the competition with Nichelle and Edgar. "Anyone knows the rules of this tournement?" Alexander asks the two as he is uncertain and looks around the area. His own weapons are donned, but he feels no need to draw any of his weapons as there is no imminant danger. Bastardsword on the back, handxe on the back too with two maces, heavy and small on his hips as well as wearing a masterworked backpack. His armour however is hide.
Nichelle sounds like the best idea for Alexander to have met on the street and made friends, hope you don't disagree. Actually would be a interesting roleplaying if they had met and gotten long as friends and perhaps he grows a greater attachment but can't tell her about her feelings? Just a suggestion, doesn't have to be if you don't feel comfortable with those ideas.
okey, okey I'm here. Hmm...we have a Bard, Ninja, Godling (???) and Wizard...hmm...fighter it is. Best way to do it is remake Alexander Fellblade and give him a backstory to go along with it. Two-weapon fighter and now herolab has updated I'll start rebuilding right away. Only background trait I could think of for him was that he is a friend of Edgar Prince who decodes to be responsible and help his friend, no matter what happens. Sorry if that doesn't match up with your backstory, just picked a random nake which might be useful enough. I'll make sure to repost the new info on his profile. Edit: Done, will need to work on the backstory though.

Round 1 Alexander will draw his Bastardsword as a free action using the quick draw feat then use a move action to draw his hand axe into his off-hand increasing his AC to 18 and then strike with his bastardsword. Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22 Crit confirm: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14 Damage: 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8 If confirmed crit add: 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 "Take that! Go back to Belkzen!" he Curses the Orc as he slashes it with a powerful blow from his family sword.

Alexander looks at the map, following his finger across the path. "Looks like we head south west through 'the broken glade', then south east and go past 'the grey lake' and then head over 'serpent's gorge' to get to where we're going." he looks back up at the group. "Anyone good at following maps? I ask because I am more likely to get us lost than find the right path. Perhaps we should keep our individual peices or let the one leading the way hold all the peices? I may not know the majority of you that well, but I trust that we are all smart enough to suspect getting the everflame and returning it will be no easy task."He looks over everyone wondering what everyone else's opinion of what to do with the map is.
I'm glad someone broke the silence.
Even if no one shakes his hand he'll look through the pack and take out the peice of map, looking at the others.

Alexander remains unshaken at the words the mayor said, stating possible deaths of some people in the group. As they make off Alex notices the gnome and smiles remembering the many pleasant meals he had which were cooked by the said chef. His eyes are instantly drawn to the shooting star and even though he isn't a woreshiper of Desna, the shooting star just as they're leaving is certainly more than a coincidence. He remains silent, wanting to speak once the four of them were alone. If they were going to risk their lives together, they might as well get to know each other whilst on the roat to retrieve the everflame.
Gregor the Roach wrote: Gregor waits for one of the others to claim the lantern, believing that, even if the townsfolk are willing to send him on their quest, they would not want his half-orc hands to hold their relic. He eyes the others warily, waiting for someone to take on the symbolic burden. Alexander eyes the half-orc. There is a general dislike of Orcs in most villages like this If he was chosen to be one of the heroes for the test of everflame then he must be trusted. Reguardless, I'll keep a eye on him.
Alexander looks up and is captivated by the importance of holding the lantern, but instead he feels he will function better with both weapons in hand rarther than carrying the lanten and looks to see who will carry the lantern. Alexander checks his backpack, but doesn't rummage through it, giving respect and waiting for the right time. That's me saying no so the others can bicker :p

Alexander steps forward and bows "I am one of those heroes, sir." Alexander makes sure to announce loudly as he sounds brave and confident, waiting for the mayor to accept him and wheoever else might arrive to accept this call to heroes.
GM Werebear: Alexander nods as he has his things ready to get prepared. "The chef? Interesting, I didn't think he was combat capable. Freewater I remember meeting once. He appeared too deep in thought and didn't seem to know when to act." he smiled though he raised his eyebrow. "The Roach? I don't believe I've heard of him." "Thanks dad." he nods, though not too attached to his adopted parents, he accepted that they looked after him and were there for him. "I better get going once I have everything. I don't want to hold up the group if they're already there." he stated as he made sure to have all his weapons equipped and the pouch of coins he had with his remaining cash.

Boomer the Mad Bomber wrote: We should probably figure out how well our characters know each other before we get too much farther. After being in town for 50 years, I would imagine Boomer would know, and be known by, pretty much everyone in town, especially since he started out as a cook at the local tavern, and still maintains a regular presence there. At 100 yrs old, he has developed a congenial, laid pack, and patient personality that is still curious about the world around him. Sounds believeable to me. Especially as you said he's been hanging around for 50 years aand is a active cook who likes to get along with people. I'd believe it as plausable, however this is up to the DM to decide.
GM Werebadger: Bowing respectively he gives a smile, eager to go as he takes his father's sword, balancing it well before equipping it into a scabbard. He puts on his hide armour before putting on the scabbards of various weapons including the bastard sword he also adds his handaxe, heavy and light maces to be strapped to his hips. "I am ready to take the test, father. Who are the others that will light the everflame with me?" he asks curiously as he looks at his father and the captain, hoping they know.

Sorry I've not replied sooner, but I'm on a UK timeline and I don't usually get up until late due to no work and all play making me a tired layabout. Anyway, I'll fix that on the character sheet, it'll most likely be 30 or 20 ft with medium armour but I'm unsure. I'll check online. edit: medium armour so yeah, slows down. |
