In lieu of the store page where people could post comments about the pregens, I've created a thread in the Pathfinder forum for any feedback.

This thread is to consolidate any feedback on the remastered pregenerated characters for potential future updates. In the event that we make updates and/or edits to any of the pregens, we'll go through this thread to evaluate any feedback.

If you spot errors, issues, or lack of clarity, please share them here! As a general rule we make decisions for the pregens based on a number of factors, none of which is combat optimization, so feedback on suboptimal choices is permitted but less likely to be acted upon.

Hey all,

I wrote this blog well before Monday's layoffs and cuts to Organized Play were announced. The scheduled blog about upcoming rule changes will not be happening until we have more information on the future of Organized Play. Apologies for the delay.

All Starfinder (Second Edition) Adventures published by Paizo are sanctioned. This includes but is not limited to: Adventures, Adventure Paths, Free RPG Day adventures, Playtest scenarios and Playtest adventures, and any other adventures explicitly sanctioned by the Paizo Organized Play team.

Scoured Stars is not a second edition Adventure Path; thus, no second edition chronicles could be awarded for playing through it unless the Starfinder Society team specifically elected to sanction it for credit.

Demos such as Last Croak are not sanctioned and do not award chronicle sheets.

Is the distinction that all previous PFS Scenarios will be repeatable, but Adventures/AP will not be? Or was this a change of intent between the two posts.

That is the distinction, yes.

The sanctioning document does not mention treasure bundles at all.

The Chronicle Sheet gives 4 Experience Point(s), 4 Reputation with one faction, and gold appropriate to a character of their level per the attached table. It also grants 8 days of Downtime.

May sessions be reported retroactively, or only for games played after a certain date? (And if the latter, what's the cutoff date?)

Specifically, can adventures that we played during the 2E playtest period be reported now using this new form? I recall that those could be reported during that playtest period for [SFS 1E] AcP, but they gave no other credit.

We're fine with folks reporting sessions of, say, Murder in Metal City that were run prior to this document being published. As for playtest adventures, you cannot double-dip credit. If you got credit during the playtest on the Playtest Tracking Sheet, you can't also get a chronicle sheet. I'm not going to go back through and edit previously-reported sessions either.

In order to align the timeslots, we are exclusively running scenarios that fit our current 2-3 hour expectation. The exception to this is the interactive specials on Friday and Saturday night, which remain feature-length presentations at 5 hours.

Arvin is indeed a mystic, he just doesn't typically use magic during briefings.

Thats included PFS 1E scenarios?

It does not.

Those deities are all dead or missing after the events of the War of Immortals, and thus are not currently able to grant power to their followers.

We typically don't announce plans for sanctioning ahead of release date, so I'd encourage you to stay tuned for the OP Update on April 8 for answers to this question!

My gut feeling is that you will be able to create PCs of those ancestries using the rules in Galactic Ancestries, but the legacg admittance boons will remain to unlock those ancestry's Pathfinder Player Core feats and heritages.

There are no pregens for the magus or summoner at this time.

If it's been longer than a month and the GM has not reported the game, you can send your chronicle sheet to orgplayreportingerrors@paizo.com. Typically we ask for some grace post-conventions in particular as they're a lot of work and reporting might slide a bit.

1. You start with 0 XP, regardless of level. From the Guide:

Starting Level: Starfinder Society characters can begin play at 1st, 3rd, 5th, or 7th level. Regardless of their starting level, characters begin play with 0 XP. Keep a record of your character’s starting level.

3. That's correct; when we get to 7th-level we'll update that.

4. Just fine thanks for asking. (you'd build the character then immediately apply your 2 GM chronicles, taking you up to, presumably, 8 XP)

Awesome! Are there plans for updated chronicle sheets as well?

We will indeed be providing updated sanctioning documents for this compilation. However, those documents (along with Hellbreakers, most likely), will be a bit delayed. We're making some updates to our template and processes on the backend and that's going to take a bit of time. You're free to start playing this with your group now; unless you play very quickly, I expect we'll have them out by the time you complete the first chapters!

Yep, someone let me know over the weekend (maybe you?) and I asked webstore to get things updated. Not a policy change at all!

When Neshen was first published, due to a likely copy/paste error his edicts and anathema were exactly the same. If that's no longer the case then we'll get the Character Options page updated!

Do character options appearing in this book (feats, spells, equipment, ancestries, etc.) appear valid for Organized Play character options?

There are no new player-facing options in this book.

Are there going to be PreGen Characters for 7th level?

What are the rest of you doing for Players that want a PreGen for 7th level tier.

As these are built with the legacy version of the classes, we don't intend to create any new pregens.

As for the remaster versions, we've announced no plans for pregens of higher level.

With this being a double lengthened adventure; does it award extra XP, Credits or Achievement points compared to a normal scenario?

It does not.

That all sounds really fun! I love tracking the fundraising, that's a really great way to soften any blows of losing the race.

Should the metaplot scenarios play in a specific order? Which is the first?

It is never required to play scenarios in a specific order, though they are in chronological order by scenario number/release date. The first metaplot scenario is #1-01: Invasion's Edge, with #1-00: Collision's Wake serving as a prequel.

Hmm, looks like I'll need to work on porting that text over from the Pathfinder Society Character Options page.

In short:
- Limited means "not without a boon"
- Restricted means "not without a boon, and don't hold your breath on getting one"

The scenario is fully repeatable, regardless of level tier. The PDF is incorrect.

There are not (and will not be) rules to transition characters between editions. However, in Starfinder Society (second edition), characters may begin play at 1st, 3rd, 5th or 7th level.

Will PFS mirror SFS level creation rules? Can start at 1st, 3rd, 5th, or 7th?

Not at this time. The same applies to any other rules reflected in SFS2: all PFS2 scenarios are not repeatable, we will still be sanctioning Adventure Paths for PFS2, and so on.
