How is Pathfinder a game?

Myself? I'll be checking out combat. Most especially initiative. Not necessarily for PF, but I figure I should be able to adopt it for another system.

Where would I announce this?

Everyone, tell me what you think

No phones, no tablets, no computers. Come prepared to play, or stay home. You need help with the rules, ask.

Nefarius doings in Londoun Albion.
Sabotage on French rail lines.
Aegyptian Society of Engineering Magicians goes out on strike.
Lymark Tribe Goblins buying up land and housing in Leeds Albion.

Something's happening on Aerth, want to find out what's going on?

Londoun Albion
Deceber 21st, 1013

I am bothered by a recent series of events down on the Thames this afternoon. Earilier today a Susquahanik ship docked at the wharves, with as passengers a Pontiac shaman and his Seneca guards. (I have been told a Mohawk Assassin snuck off the night before, and a disguised skraeling from Vargaard has been reported nosing around Fleetwalk.

With reports of the new railline between Londoun and Cambridge having problems with vandals and saboteurs, It is my feeling these new visitors mean this kingdom no end of grief. There are rumors of King Albert II's agents poking around where seamen hold forth. More to learn, and not much time to learn it.

Will you be organizing the store according to subject; I.E: by type of RPG product; world building, campaign building, adventure building; that sort of thing.

Or are they sacrosanct and not to be touched?

It is disorganized, how about...

City
Region, Area, Province, or State
Date

The above being selected from a drop down menu (one each) before the subject of the post. The forum would then be organized by location and date. Would make people easier to find.

Will try any system, any genre, any setting. Been playing off and on (mostly off recently) since 1975.

First RPG: Technically it would have to be Empire of the Petal Throne. Didn't play D&D as an RPG until AD&D2e. :)

Location: East Village San Diego, at 435 13th St #301

cell # available through private messenging.

The SRD page shows numerous sub-sections, any chance of getting the whole thing as one complete file? Prefer to have it all in one location.

How long has it been since mythusmage visited?

"Add New Thread" button? There is such a thing(using Google Chrome)?

There are other models of roleplaying games besides the storytelling, theater, and life models I've detailed elsewhere. Here now are some of those models.

The Day Care Model: Where the players are all toddlers wandering around a day care center; getting into things, getting lost, and crying for attention. The mod here is a day care worker trying to keep trackof the kids, making sure they're safe, and handing out treats and goodies to keep them happy.

The 7th Grade Model: Here the players are all 7th graders going through mysterious events and changes. With the moderator a 7th grade teacher doing his best to keep them occupied and focused, while pondering the possibility of taking up a more placid career; Alaskan crab boat crewman for one.

The College Sophomore Model: In this model the players are all college sophmores with a raunchy and inappropriate sense of humor, prickly personalities, and an all encompassing sense of entitlement. The moderator here is college counselor with an overburdened schedule, a dire lack of materials, and a diet that would kill a buzzard.

The Tazzie Model: In this model the players are all tasmanian devils squabbling over the corpse of a cow.

The Dromaesaur Model: In this model the players are all velociraptors squabbling over the corpse of a hadrosaur. (Sort of like the tazzie model, only with flashy plumage instead of matted fur, and an onrushing giant asteriod.)

The Melodramatic Model: This is where the morality is clearly laid out, and any tendency on the part of a player to act as he would in real life gets him into trouble.

The Cynic Model: Nobody can be trusted, and nothing is as it seems. In addition, the publisher keeps releasing revisions and new editions in an attempt to keep his customers off-guard and disoriented

Herding Cats Model: This is where the players are cats in a room filled with all sorts of things to explore, play with, or sleep on. The mod is the poor soul trying to keep them in one area with nothing more than stale treats and a laser pointer with dying batteries. In this model the high level adventure is equivalent to a tall, rickety set of shelves loaded down with knick-knacks and curios of great value to the owner.

The School Kid Model: Where the players spend their time complaining about the rules, and longing for the day when they can advance to the adult game where they will have the freedom to play as they will.

The Adult Model: Where the players spend their time complaining about the rules, and longing for the days their carefree youth.

The Jock Model: The game is a realm of action and conflict, where the players are constantly at strife, and ever ready to either do battle, or join their adversaries in skittles and beer.

The Exterminator Model: In this type of game the players are a pest control crew on the prowl for infestations of various sorts; preferably the type with gobs of treasure.

The Tea Party Model: Here the players are engaged in discussing trivial matters with great vervor, while downing gallons of tannic acid, and ton lots of complex carbohydrates and fats.

The Pizza Party Model: Much like the Tea Party Model, only focused around the downing of a type of flat bread piled high with comestibles. While the players discuss science, politics, religion, philosophy, and who's seeing who down in the animal behavior lab.

The Industrial Revolution Model: This is where the players read technology magazines and sites for futuristic devices they can then introduce to the game. Usually in a setting where copper smelting is still experimental.

The Sheep Herd Model. Where the mod is convinced at first he should have an easy time keeping the players in line. Only to learn that the little woolies have an absolute genius for getting into trouble and killing themselves.

And there you have the other RPG Models. I'm sure there are more, but I'm drawing a blank right now. If you can think of any, go ahead and post them in comments.

Did they do anything to get the kid involved?

I have a Pathfinder membership number, but I can's download the card. A shared computer you see, and the administrator won't allow any downloads onto this machine. Anyway I can get a card?

Here's a question for the moderators out there; how many of you have run mash-ups of the various adventure paths? Which of them lend themselves to mash-ups? How many of you have run follow ups to an adventure path? You know, to follow up on the failures and the missing expeditions?

Will this mean a reduction in white space?
