Hey discussing a character concept with someone regarding a brawler and using close weapons.

The brawlers close weapon mastery allows the brawler to use the brawlers unarmed damage (-4 levels) instead of the weapons damage while wielding it.

Now the spirit of this seems to be because the brawler is good at using these close weapons they combine it with their unarmed skill to use their own damage.

However the dan bong can be thrown, in the spirit of the ability it seems it shouldn't do the brawlers unarmed damage while thrown but there is some discussion over weather it would still do the unarmed damage or the dang bon damage.

I have heard arguments both ways and wanted to get some more input here.

Hey,
just thought I would mention that I am having trouble getting to the PFS blog on the chrome browser

http://paizo.com/paizo/blog/tags/pathfinderSociety

When I try and access that page it acts like its done loading and shows only a white page. When trying to access from internet explorer on the same machine it appears to load correctly.

Installed Extensions - Avast! Online Security, EditThisCookie, Logmein AND Reddit Enhancement Suite.

None of which (except potentially Avast) should be preventing this page from loading.

Hey,
So based on a couple situations recently we have had people summoning creatures such as Elementals (Elemental Gem).

They then give them an ambiguous command such as "Attack the guy by the stairs". Without having line of site on any of the creatures near the stairs and there are multiple possible targets and the player is after a specific one...

Was wanting to get a feel for how litteraly commands should be taken for respect of what the player wants to achieve and what the elemental knows and asumes.

Would you rule that the elemental just knows which creature the caster is referring to?

Would you say a random die roll?

Or some other option, I also realize that the intelligence of the summond creature may also be a factor in this.

So i guess it depends on how litteraly you take a players command to a summond creature...

Hey,
Just been looking through some rules and can't find anything definitive for my question. When mounted on an axe beak as a lvl 5 paladin using a lance. When charging the enemy does the lance attack HAVE to resolve first? or can my axe beaks attack resolve first ?

Reason being the axe beak gets a free trip as part of its charging attack, making a huge difference on my to hit roll for the lance. I can't find anything saying that the lance has to go first, just that it deals double damage on a charge. Thoughts and help appreciated ^_^
