Is there any rule against mounting a willing druid using wild shape?

Must you mount a horse, pony, or riding dog, or can you mount any willing creature

What are the penalties for riding without a saddle?

Must the creature you mount be only one size bigger then you? And if you mount a creature two or more sizes larger then you is it assumed that you can still reach opponents on the ground with melee attacks?

Does the mount take any penalties on combat rolls for being mounted?

I'm finding one thing unclear about using the feat Shaping Focus, that is do get the additional uses per day from the feat or just the size changes?

Ex: A Duid lvl 4/Fighter lvl 2 with Shaping Focus feat How many times a day can he use wild shape?

I believe the character could use it 2 time per day for it says in the description of wild sense "A druid can use this ability an additional time per day
at 6th level and every two levels thereafter"
But it seem that that may not be the entent of the feat some clarification would be appreciated

I've had a bit of confusion on who can use what wands and I just need a straight answer on one thing: What are the requirements to use a wand without a use magic device check.

Here is what I thing the answer is but I have been told I was wrong. A caster may use a wand of any spell that his/her class may learn regardless whether the caster knows the spell him/herself, or even if the caster is even high enough caster lvl to learn the spell.

If a character has multiple attacks for whatever reason, most commonly two weapon fighting (this is not the case for me, I have multiple attacks from natural weapons), and have high enough BAB to have multiple attacks are they out of luck to getting the extra attack(s) or would a character with Two-weapon fighting feat with a light off hand weapon and a BAB of +6/+1 have an attack of +4/+4/+1 or even +4/+4/-1?

DR/Magic does not refer to spells, it refers to magic weapons, i.e. weapons with a +1 or higher enhancement bonus.

Spell damage bypasses all DR, including DR/-, unless the damage is explicitly bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing damage, in which case you apply the DR as normal. E.g. ice storm deals part cold damage, and part bludgeoning damage. DR applies to the bludgeoning damage, and energy resistance applies to the cold damage. Thus both skeletons (immune to cold) and zombies (DR/slashing) are resistance to that spell.

There are few spells that actually do this type of damage - most deal other types or typeless. For instance, both spiritual weapon and mage's sword deal force damage.

Ninja'd by KainPen, although I would point out that Damage Reduction applies to "attacks" - there is physical damage, such as falling damage, to which it does not apply. Also spell damage that is not energy based.

Thank you for the clarification, but I previously believed that DR/- was bypassed by magic weapons of +1 or higher. So, is DR/- damage resistance without vulnerability or does DR/- and DR/Magic have the same meaning?

I thought that DR was always bypassed by damage from a spell. But I'm second second guessing that because I saw something with DR/Magic. So know I need to know does spell damage bypass DR/- or not?

So, I am super confused about one thing. elementals don't breathe. Thus using after using a elemental body spell you do not need to breath. But for some reason when you turn into a water elemental you gain the ability to breathe water?! I don't understand! Does anyone know something I don't and ca clear up this mystery for me

Tell me in I go wrong

So a wizard with a fairy dragon familiar casts Elemental Body I using share spell to cast it on his familiar

The fairy dragon's AC starts at:
18 (+3 Dex, +1 dodge, +2 natural, +2 size)
no change in it's dex or dodge
+4 natural replacing the old +2 natural
changing from tiny to small size from +2 to +1

So, the final AC is:
19 (+3 Dex, +1 dodge, +4 natural, +1 size)

Is that right?

If you ready to cast a standard-action spell, it's a standard action to cast and a free action to touch a target as part of casting the spell. You can take a 5-foot step between casting and touching, if you didn't move in the round before you readied. You don't otherwise get a move as part of a readied action.

If you've already cast a touch spell and are holding the charge, you must make a melee attack to use it. You can do this by any other action or effect that gives you a melee attack, such as the attack action (standard), part of a full attack action (full-round) or an attack of opportunity, since you threaten an area with the touch spell charge.

You can't take a standard action to cast a spell, then a standard action to ready in the same round.

I don't know the rules for familiars delivering spells very well. Best read them and see how it fits into the above. I presume the familiar would also have to ready an action and therefore can take a standard action, possibly including a 5-foot step, but not a move.

Thanks that's exactly what I wanted to know

when you ready a touch spell what action is it for you to use it. And is that action changed if a wizard's familiar delivers a touch attack

What bloodline? Fey is the obvious choice for enchantment (compulsion). Honestly, if you're using the kitsune sorcerer favored class bonus, with at least an 18 starting cha and the Fey bloodline, then you're already better than most. Boost your cha with a headband once you can afford it, and get Spell Focus and Greater Spell Focus. That's about all there is.

Actually I took the dreamspun bloodline. I love sleep spells so dreamspun works slightly better then the fey and and when it comes to roll play I do enjoy the dreampun bloodline.

That's going to be a big list, and many of the DC boosters are class-dependant.

So what's your budget, what's your priority and which class are we talking 'bout?

the character is a low level Kitsune sorceress. I'm not too conserned with the budget because I want to plan ahead. and the point of raising her charisma is to raise her spell DC and she is focused to be an enchantress so enchantment spell DC is the priority

I'm looking for some magic items or other ways to boost my charisma or enchantment DC any thoughts

Is there any benefit to having a deities if you are not a divine caster

So, I know that one person cannot play two characters at once. But, is there any rule that keeps me from handing my friend a character sheet of mine and still playing another of my characters myself?

Unless you want to take advantage of the convenient at will transformation (super useful in dungeons where you might want to transform back to humanoid to loot and then go fox again to meld all the heavy stuff into your form)

I just let the barbarian be the pack mule XD

Your GM may house-rule that your kitsune Fox Shape counts as a wild shape for the purposes of the feat. However, it's up to hir. Since this is in the Advice forum, not the Rules forum, I would advise making that argument -- since you're willing to invest a feat into it, and druids can do it, it's not exactly overpowered. I did something exactly like this in a home game.

I would do that but, I'm playing this character in Society. So, I can't make the argument, sense rule are not flexible... Sadly

1 person marked this as FAQ candidate.

So I'm looking to make a kitsune caster and I want to take the fox shape feat and just stay a fox most of the time but I have the problem that I can't speak while a fox.
So I'm trying to find a way around that. I know druids just take the natural spell feat. to bad other casters cant take that

So, I'm making a silly character that is a half-orc barbarian druid fighter that will take feats that give him claws and a bite attacks. But I don't really know a lot things to give me bonuses to natural weapons. It would be a lot of help if I could be pointed in the right direction

Okay, thanks for the clarification

So, in pathfinder I know players can take monster feats that they meet the requirements for, as stated in the bestiary:
"Most of the following feats apply specifically to monsters,
although some player characters might qualify for them
(particularly Craft Construct)."
But, my GM says that that isn't the case in pathfinder society. I'm not quite sure he is right so does anyone know for absolute certain who is correct here?
